Then, hand-wash the pitcher, lid, and reservoir using a mild detergent, and rinse them thoroughly. A: One big difference is that the elite filter reduces 99% of lead. The regular standard filter does not reduce lead.

A: Thanks for asking, and we'll be happy to help. Our Denali pitcher has a filter change indicator that counts both time & volume. It includes a fill line on the lid that counts the number of times you fill the pitcher up to the max fill line. To RESET: Press the button under the corresponding filter for over 5 sec. The light will then flash green and red 3x. To CHECK STATUS: Press the button under the corresponding filter for less than 5 sec. The light will flash 3X in color, indicating filter life (green for good, yellow for nearing the end of filter life, or red for time to change). Your standard filter should be replaced every two months or 40 gallons, whichever comes first. If you need additional assistance, please call us at 800-242-7482 with #260730-000536. A: Thanks for your interest in our Brita Denali Pitcher, Clesy. Here's how to Prepare The Filter For Us. Flush filter with cold water for 15 seconds. Insert filter into reservoir. Add cold tap water. Insert filter into reservoir by lining up groove in filter with notch in reservoir. Press firmly for a tight seal. Fill the reservoir with cold tap water. Discard your first three pitchers of filtered water, or use to water plants. Replace filter every 40 gallons or two months (after the first 3 pitchers or first dispenser of water is discarded) We hope this helps. Shannon from The Brita Team
