Q: The indicator light is flashing red and green. I tried to reset the filter, but no matter how long I press the button, it’s still flashing. Is it because the battery is not working? But I couldn’t figure out how to replace the battery.
A: Frances, thanks for asking us about this, and we're sorry to hear about your issues with the timer on our Tahoe Pitcher. Initially, you could have possibly thought you pressed for 5 seconds when you replaced the filter and got the green light flashing 3 times, which only checks the status of the filter and doesn't reset the indicator. Since you said you already tried to reset it, please call us at 800-242-7482 and mention #250520-000173 so we can assist further as we don't have battery replacements. Looking forward to your call. Q: Two questions: 1. Does the Brita Tahoe Pitcher remove fluoride? I'm reluctant to do that given its health benefits. 2. Is this made from a stable form of plastic that doesn't leach contaminants?
A: Hello there, Deb; these are good questions. Our filters aren't designed to reduce fluoride. Our blue Elite filters don't reduce fluoride from tap water, and our white Standard filters reduce less than 5% of fluoride from tap water. To your other question, the reservoir of our Tahoe Pitcher along with the pitcher itself is from Polystyrene. The handle and lid is made from ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene). These materials don't contain any polycarbonate or any phthalates, and all of our products are tested and certified by NSF International and/or WQA for both material safety and filtration performance. Q: I used the pitcher with elite filter for a few days, and the value of filtered water is the same as tap water, it does not do any filtering what is the problem?

Q: is the sensor below the lid removable?

Q: Hi. I purchased 9/2023 & my light hasn’t turned red. Is this normal? Filter life says 6mths. Thank you.
A: Ayanna, thank you for reaching out about the timer on our Tahoe Pitcher. Your timer may need to be reset as the red light should come on with the Elite filter after 6 months or 120 gallons. If the indicator is on the top of your pitcher’s lid: Press and hold down the STATUS button. Hold it there for 2 seconds if you’re using a white filter or 6 seconds if you have a blue filter. Release the button when the green light next to your filter icon flashes three times by itself. If the indicator is on the underside of your pitcher’s lid: Under the icon for your filter type, press and hold down the reset button for 5 seconds.
