Q: How long does it take to filter the water after you fill it?
A: Thanks for asking, Tina! We're happy to help and want to share that our Elite Filter should take no more than 10-15 minutes to filter a reservoir of water in your Denali Pitcher. The only exceptions are water that is high in sediment or air. Keep in mind that the reservoir should be filled several times to achieve the full capacity of the pitcher. If you have additional questions, please call us at 800-242-7482 and mention reference number 240703-000118. Take care! Ashlee from The Brita Team

Q: What's the difference between the elite and standard filter? Why is the elite filter more expensive?
A: Thanks for asking! The main differences between our Elite and Standard Filters are the reduced contaminants and filter life. Our Standard Filter lasts 2 months (40 gallons) and reduces chlorine (taste & odor), mercury, cadmium, copper, zinc, and more. Our Elite Filter lasts 6 months (120 gallons) and reduces chlorine (taste & odor), lead, mercury, cadmium, benzene, asbestos, Class 1 particulates, and more. If you have additional questions, please call us at 800-242-7482 and mention reference number 240612-000624. Hope this was helpful! Ashlee from The Brita Team

Q: Does the brita filter, filter out sodium?
A: Lucinda, we're grateful for the opportunity to assist you with your query regarding our Denali Pitcher and Elite Filter. Although our Elite Filters don't remove sodium, they reduce substances found in tap water, including chlorine taste and odor, as well as health contaminants such as copper, cadmium, mercury, and lead. As long as your water is municipally treated, you can use our filters for cleaner, better-tasting water. If you have any other questions, you’re welcome to call our team at 800-242-7482, and please mention the reference number 231220-000207. Thanks. Shannon from The Brita Team

Q: does this water filter pitcher let you know when its time to replace the filter
A: Great question, Pat! Our Soho Pitcher shown includes our SmartLight indicator, which features a light that pulses at the top of the lid every time you pour. It will flash green when the filter life is sufficient, yellow when you need to replace it soon, and red when it's time to change the filter. The included Elite Filter lasts 120 gallons, which is approximately six months. If you have additional questions, please call us at 800-242-7482 and mention reference number 230523-000708.
