Usage Directions: Your water filter pitcher can be ready to use in a few steps. No presoak or rinse required. Wash your hands before touching the filter. Hand wash pitcher, lid and reservoir. Q: Should Brita filtered water read between 50-250 on a TDS water meter tester? I purchased a new Brita pitcher with filter and the three times filtered water is reading 471, the tab water reads 528.

The filter indicator in our Tahoe Pitcher is activated when the lid is opened for 5-8 seconds and measures water use by counting the number of times the reservoir is filled. The red light next to "REPLACE" will blink once you have reached 0% of the filter's life. The filter performance isn't certified after the life of the filter, which is 40 gallons or two months for our Standard Filter and 120 gallons or six months, whichever comes first. It's been almost a year and the main concern is the filter indicator doesn't seem to work properly. It has never told me the filter needs changing. I change it every 2-3 months anyway. When I press the reset button it flashes green - red , 3 times and goes off. It doesn't light up when pouring a glass since about 3 months in. I know the filter is good so water is fine, just indicator seems bad.

Bought the smaller pitcher a few weeks ago. Took it out of packing and noticed it was cracked near the spout. Then bought the 10 cup a couple of days ago and a piece of plastic came off near the side where the lid meets the pitcher. Britas I had worked fine before. Not sure what’s going on with their quality control. I purchased an 11 cup Pur instead and have no problems. At least Target has a great return policy.

Faulty Indicator Light

2nd time I have purchased the same water pitcher, and the second time the indicator light stopped working. For $30+ dollars and religiously changing the filter every 2 months. This poorly redesigned water pitcher by Brita definitely is not worth the price. They last about a year and then the indicator light stops working. Maybe that’s why they redesigned it? The original with the indicator light on the top of the lid was 💯 better.

Doesn’t let me know when I need to replace the filter the light was green for longer than 3 months didn’t realize I haven’t bought a replacement filter till now not good working pitcher…this is the second one I’ve bought that has done this.

Please ensure that when you're resetting the timer after putting your new filter in, you're only pressing the status but for 2 seconds versus 6 seconds in order to tell the system that you're using a Standard Filter (2 months) instead of an Elite Filter (6 months). Bad Filter Upon Arrival

I had bought this item online, but I ended up having to return it because the filter arrived broken. It was leaking all kinds of black sand-looking stuff, I assume it's the carbon or charcoal that's supposed to be inside the filter, and while I would not have been upset with a few particles of it, the whole thing was spilling out. I would have exchanged it for a new one with a non-broken filter, but honestly the idea of how inconvenient ordering new filters would be just felt annoying, I don't want to have a whole process of returns and refunds and exchanges every two months or so, whenever we'd need to replace the filter. Back to Waterdrop for filter pitcher, I guess!

This was purchased to replace our PUR pitcher as their pitcher filters are no longer certified to remove lead, but Brita's elite filters are. We purchased the model with the elite filter. The filter is super fast which is great. It has a good pour as well. 2-stars because the button to open the lid to refill the pitcher doesn't work. I push but the lid won't open. I have to lift the entire cover of the pitcher off and then the button will open the lid. I sent in a notice to their customer service about the issue but didn't get a reply. We bought a secondary smaller pitcher with a different lid design that works great.

After 6 months, the filter light stopped working

I like the taste of water from the pitcher, it is my second one to buy. Although this specific one, the light on the pitcher that shows the filter state stopped working after less than 6 months. At first I thought it is because I need to change the filter (although it didnt turn red before), but now even after changing the filter it is not working. It is ashame after less than 6 months to stop working.

I bought this 1 year ago and the light stopped working on its 9th month. We religiously changed filter and cleaned the pitcher, careful to remove the filter and light but it broke down anyway. Consumption was normal for a family of four with a ref dispenser and another pitcher other brand. Kind of disappointed.

Poor quality control. The pitchers handle was broken inside the packaging which you couldn’t tell until you opened the plastic. the pitcher itself feels flimsier than previous brita pitcher too! Disappointing!
