I used to have an old Brita pitcher that was used daily for over a decade until my son accidentally dropped it and broke the base. I ordered this new and while I like how fast it fills up and how it does not leak the plastic is much more thin. I accidentally caught the pitcher between the fridge door and the inner wall and a shard of plastic chipped off. I foresee having to replace this pitcher very soon.

Handle fell off but you couldn't tell it was that way when wrapped in packaging. I tried using it anyway but I will be returning it tomorrow because the handle helps keep the lid on when pouring.

Filters well, but the quality of the pitcher is poor. In just a few months, cracks appeared all around the rim of the pitcher. After 6 months, a large sharp piece chipped off by the handle when the pitcher fell sideways in the sink. The pitcher itself needs better durability.

Pleased with the filtered water system but the filter indicator quits working after two years or so. Second pitcher just stopped working. True, you can keep manual track of the filter age but that defeats a main convenience feature of the system. Brita should make the indicator battery user replaceable or lower the price since it turns disposable so soon.

Mold started growing on filter within 3 months and I never noticed it until recently. Make sure you check your filter and vent on the bottom and clean with vinegar and soap

The pitcher started to crack right after 3 months. The sensor also stopped working. The sensor at the tip of the pitcher can lead to having 3 streams of water instead of one if not being careful when puring a full pitcher. We had other Brita pitchers that lasted years and were a lot better built and never had any problems like this. This one was really bad.
