This is NOT a paid / spam review. I've never had a fan like this one: it blows SO MUCH AIR. It's pretty loud, but that comes with the territory- at least it actually moves air. Best fan I've ever bought. I now only buy these fans .
Great fan! Super Quiet!

Recently, I wanted to replace an older tower fan in my bedroom. Initially, I purchased a different fan from Fridgidaire that was about half the price of this one. As I assembled it, I kept thinking "wow, are all fans this junky nowadays?" It was plastic all the way through. That night after turning it on, it sounded--I am not kidding--like a 747 taking off in my bedroom. I like white noise, but this was absurd. So the next day I ordered the Pelonis fan. It arrived promptly, put together easily, has at least some metal parts (so it feels solid and heavier), and best of all: when it is on levels 1-3, I cannot hear it at all. It also blows out a good bit of breeze at all levels. If it's a warmer night, I'll use it at 4 or 5, but usually the lower speeds are fine. I generally set it by hand and forget about it, but the remote works well. Also, I think it looks nice, like a proper fan. (I never got used to the look of the leaning tower effect of my old tower fan.)I recommend this product. The Pelonis fan was certainly worth the added cost to me, and I suspect you will like it too.
I recommend it to everyone

This is the best money I've spent in a long time. I have a small room, 18 ft x 12 ft and this fan circulate the air. This is very important because I don't have AC. It is easy to clean. Love the timer feature. Unlike other similarly priced fans it's sturdy. Did I forget to mention that it was well packaged & it arrived on time. I recommend this fan.

The quality is much higher than say, the usual Lasko brand fans. The grills are made of metal and even the body and the base are evidently of much sturdier quality. It's sleek enough that it does not get in the way of a smaller room. Strong enough air. Comes with a remote. Can't speak for durability yet but overall impressed!
About the instructions

This fan is simple and practical. It pushes out a fabulous breeze on every setting and easy to assemble. I've read a lot of frustration about assembly so thought I'd try to help.Ironically, this fan doesn't come with a 'tiny bag of parts' because they're already attached. You have 4 things you must unscrew before assembly.1) Right-angle bolt: unscrew this piece completely from the bottom of the pole. Attach pole through hole of the base, then screw right- angle bolt all the way back in.2)Tighten knob (this is the only part you'll need a screwdriver): this is the part that I see many people skipping on step two. The instructions don't make it clear so it's easy to miss. Before you attach the upper part of fan in to the poll, there is a screw on the back that must be loosened with a screwdriver. The instructions show the location but refer to it as the 'knob'. Attach parts and use screwdriver to tighten screw back in as tight as you can. This step is vital. Your fan (the pole) will never be secured otherwise.3) 1st lock nut: there are two. One for the back grill and one for the blade. You'll first remove the one for the blade. Righty-Tighty, Lefty-Lucy DOES NOT apply here. Do the exact opposite (counter clockwise) or else you will tighten this piece so much to the point of breaking it or not getting it of at all.4) 2nd lock nut: unscrew this part, attach your back grill and immediately screw lock back on.From there, attach your blade and screw lock nut for blade back on. Finally, attach front grill. Hope this helps.

This fan is quiet and has multiple speeds. It has a good stand and it's easy to put together. The only thing that would make it better was if the fan blade could go faster. However, it was perfect for sleeping.
Great air flow, low sound

My fans motor blew so I got this because I have to sleep with a fan. I like the air flow, but I truly need the sound. I'm a very light sleeper so a good fan helps me to drown out any other sounds. For this fan I absolutely love the strong air flow, as for the sound it is not that loud. The air flow can be felt strongly even clear across large rooms such as living rooms. The fan head can tilt up and down which is always a nice treat. I love that the pole does not just snap into the base, instead it screws on which keeps the base from falling onto your foot as you move it like so many others do. Overall this a very nice fan and I'll keep it, however I do wish the sound was louder personally so I took one star.

Excellent size. It doesn't take up too much space. It's very strong and sturdy. I love having the remote control to control the speeds. I was so pleased with this fan, I bought another a week later.

It's not bad at all. You can feel it pretty far away and it comes with a cheap remote if you don't feel like getting up to turn it down. Put the bottom on wrong so thought it was defective but it's not. It works good if you have some money to spend.

I would have given it 5 stars but the speed of the air doesn't change the low, med or high just high. When a hot flash hit all this cold air hits you really fast it fells good but it disturbs my husband. It's stands in one place so when I turn it on yes relief is coming 3-5 times per night. I would not purchase it again because of the setting. But everything else is perfect.

I am so thankful I purchased this Pelonis fan.1) I'm thoroughly enjoying the convenience of its remote control.2) It was easy to put together, even with my old arthritic hands - all I needed to do was find my ancient Phillips screwdriver.3) This Pelonis fan's base is weighted for stability but is not so heavy thay I am unable to move it where needed.Love it!

Good Fan, Bad Instructions

The fan is a good buy. It works well and moves a lot of air but does make noise, as does almost every fan that is moving air. The biggest problem that I had was the instructions. When the instructions tell you to remove the large plastic locknut by rotating it "anticlockwise" and the picture even shows loosening it by turning it to the left, it is wrong. THE LOCKNUT COMES OFF EASILY BY ROTATING IT CLOCKWISE! My nephew and I wrestled with the first fan trying to follow the instructions and never did get the locknut off. When the second fan got here, the locknut was loose, and I noticed that turning it "anticlockwise" or counterclockwise caused it to get tighter. It has left-hand threads, not right-hand. Fridgidaire quickly replaced the fan, which is a good testimony to them and their great customer service. I do recommend the fan, just make sure you rotate the locknut clockwise to remove it.
Virtually silent on 1-3

I bought this fan to try and replace my 12 year old Honeywell Quiet set that has stopped spinning periodically. This is the 3rd fan I bought, and the only one I kept. Very easy to put together, didn't even need the directions. It is virtually silent on settings 1-3. I actually find myself wishing it was just a bit louder because my Honeywell was. I do wish it had one additional setting between 3-4 as there is a quite large difference in the noise level between the two. 3 is basically silent, 4 is normal fan noise and slight motor noise. We'll see how it holds up compared to my old one, but so far, so good!
