A: Wash the blanket, then let it air out for a month or more, then wash it again. The chemical smell will disappear. Ideally, buy it a season before you'll actually use it.

Color is gray instead of moss green, upon opening it it’s discolored and had what appeared to be a burn mark with netting showing through. Strong chemical odor as well, not the quality they’re known for; super dissatisfied.

Chemical smell that wont go away!
I’ve been buying Vellux blankets for over 30 years. I’ve used them since I was a child. However, this last blanket I bought had a horrible chemical smell. I’ve washed the blanket 3 times and even aired it out for a month. Nothing takes the smell away. I do not want my children using it. Who knows what type of effect this can have on a body. This smell can’t be good for you. So disappointing. Additionally, I bought the ivory color. It is nothing like the picture. It is yellow.

This blanket absolutely disintegrated in the big washing machine… only the netting was left🤬. It was shocking… there was blue tiny crap all over the inside.. had to let it dry and then vacuum out the washer!! Thank goodness my drain did not get clogged or I’d be really angry… There’s better choices, obviously👍

Not like Velluxe of the past. Stiff. You're only suppose to wash every 6 months. Directions say to wash by hand or on gentle cycle. Dry on low or hang to dry. King size. 100% nylon.

I ordered the moss green and that is what the description says on the package but this blanket looks like a dusty gray. I don’t even like gray so I would not have ordered a gray one. I am going to try and sell this locally before I send it back, but in the meantime, I’m going to be ordering. I guess the ivory colored one though I really wanted the lovely looking moss green that it shows in the picture.

The best blanket!
I had to replace my original Vellux blanket as it literally fell apart after 20+ years. They are not sold in stores anymore so I was pleased to find another one at Target online. After having a Vellux blanket I couldn’t find anything else comparable. They are soft & warm without being “heavy” or stifling.
