submitted bybella - 4 years agoA: Hi Chanlee, Our Straight and Wavy Hair shampoo and conditioner contain a silicone called Propoxytetramethyl piperidinyl dimethicone (we know, it's a mouthful!) - we use it because it's an excellent conditioning and protecting agent that protects hair from thermal damage, adds shine, and helps give a soft, silky texture. Our Curly and Coily Hair shampoos, conditioners, and treatments are silicone-free, since many with Type 3 and Type 4 hair follow the Curly Girl Method(TM) and prefer to avoid silicones. Our #hairgoal booster shots; except for thermal control, are all silicone-free. Our products do contain alcohols, the majority of which are fatty alcohols that are not drying on the hair. It is not currently possible to put more than 3 #hairgoals in each bottle and still be able to mix evenly. I love the custom clarifying shampoo, it makes me hair so soft, shiny and feel healthy and refreshed. I most certainly recommend. I also love the packaging of this product. I honestly like the concept of this . I thought it would be more of and oil base but it liquified to Mix easy. I don’t see myself going out of my way to purchase this myself. Gifted by functionofbeauty. I like that this entire product line from function of beauty can be mixed and matched. As someone with curly/wavy damaged and colored hair it is great that there are multiple lines that can be mixed and matched to work the best with my hair. I am not entirely sure if the shampo and conditioner line I used with this would have resulted in any difference to the look and feel of my hair if I didnt use it together. However, I did notice my hair was easier to brush out when wet and that my waves stayed structured for longer. The strengthen hair goal is a grear additive that I find I could use in addition to my routine to help my damaged hair.

So I added this to my curly shampoo and conditioner bases, and I’m not sure if this truly enhanced the performance or if the bases were already that good. I did end up getting fantastic results, but I’m not sure whether the shampoo and conditioner would’ve been good without this or not. I def need to study it more, but so far so good! The Function of Beauty Curly Hair Strengthener is a noteworthy product. Complimentary from function of beauty. After using the products with and without the strengthener, I could definitely tell a difference. The added strengthener allows complete customization for customers. It made my hair feel healthier.

I added these strengthening Drops into my shampoo and conditioner and my hair feels so healthy and strong in just 5 washes of using it! My hair used to feel pretty brittle and weak but I noticed that the past few days that i have been brushing my hair i have gotten less fall out onto my brush, which has never happened to me before with any other products ive tried! im definitely never looking back because my curls look so bouncy and luminous without the frizz its crazy!! The smell is amazing especially when you mix it with the shampoo and conditioner which I also highlyy recommend! My hair has never looked this good after a new shampoo im very impressed! The strengthening boosters and super simple to use with very easy instructions to follow which I appreciate so much since i hate long and complicated instructions.
