I like how the Gabb 4 pro offers more features (eg apps) for the older teen as they enter the workforce and need certain apps for scheduling and banking, etc. I feel like it is a great transitory step between a very basic phone (call and text only) to a full blown smartphone. I am not very techy, but I feel that the setup process could be more smooth as it seems every time i upgrade I have to talk with Gabb support. The support staff are fantastic, and I’m thankful for them. I just wish the transitions could be easier. And more self guided.

We love that it can do apps like Venmo, and gospel library. I also like that my son can have some data. My phone arrived quickly, and the discount for signing up with a contract was great! My son is starting a business and this will be great for tracking orders and locations.

Love all the apps and customization features within the phone so the kids can express their personality and preferences in a safe way. I like that there is still a lot of control from the parents apps. I would like to still have the focus mode option like the watches do but without it, hoping the kids will learn to be more responsible on their own. Getting the video chat feature set up on the parent app was a little difficult and we are having issues not being able to send links to friends and family to set up video feature, wish it was a little more easy and user friendly but technical support usually solves these issues quickly.

Customer service was great, they helped me upgrade my son from the watch to his first phone & also helped me get his phone set up . I've been using Gabb devices the past 4 years & have no complaints. We have had good experiences with Gabb phones. We got one for our daughter at the end of 7th grade so that she could text with friends and with us. It allowed her to stay in the loop socially without the stress of monitoring apps and browsers and there was no question of creating social media accounts. The price point is good and while she complained about the camera quality and the difficulty in offloading photos, it did its job. Now we just purchased one for our son and we’re already having good conversations about the perils of large group chats and the house rules around phones. (Not kept in the bedroom overnight, not to be used at the dinner table)

I had some technical issues getting the phone set up. It was a little frustrating initially. And I wasn’t able to use the phone for the first 2. 5 days after receiving it and shutting down my previous device. However Sara from customer service was incredibly helpful and worked with me to get it resolved and escalated it to the people that could help me. She also offered me great support and help in understanding how to use my phone to set it up appropriately for my child.

We have had the Pro 3 for almost a year and my son accidentally dropped it so we had to get a replacement. Customer Service has been phenomenal in helping me navigate through the replacement piece and answering all of my questions and helping me get the new phone set up as well as upgrade his plan. We have been so happy with the Gabb phone as it's just what we were looking for for our teen.

Anastaisha helped us so much today! Getting our new Gabb phone for my 12 year old set up and better connected to our WiFi. The Gabb phone is a perfect phone for hat we need for our preteen right now—connectivity, location, photos, ability to stay in contact with friends as we prepare for a cross country move, but without the social media, YouTube, or browser accessibility that we still want to have more supervision of.

So far this phone is much fancier than the 4. I got the 4 as a first phone for my kid, he had no issues other than not being able to scan QR codes which isn't the worst thing. He uses it for texting and photos. The great thing is there isn't a ton to do on the phone otherwise so he is not really on the phone for long. So now two years later we got the upgrade. Just trying to figure out the backup part and Gabb support is SO HELPFUL. Thanks you. I feel my kid is much safer with Gabb Wireless.

This is not a solicited review. We have had various GABB products in our home for the last few years. They have been nothing but trouble. First and foremost, they are not a smartphone. The Apps that your kids' friends have will not be available to your child. The photos that your child takes on their phone does not save to a cloud for future reflection. Secondly, since having GABB Phones, Watches, etc. for my kids, they have been exposed to so many soliciting calls. I do not have any proof, but I don't think that GABB does a very good job when reusing phone numbers. My kids have received calls from Florida, and VA benefit Mortgage requests, etc. Our solution was to get a real phone (iPhone) put it on our plan (Saved Money) and set up family accounts. As a parent, I am able to go into the tools on my phone and see what apps have been accessed, what texts have been sent etc. The GABB is truly lacking in safety protocols, and parental safety features. I always recommend NOT getting a GABB phone to anyone considering it. That's my two cents, we have had GABB products in our home for 3-4 years and have regretted it.
