Kids’ measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Not just for kids!

This is the most well made piece of clothing I have gotten ages. It’s for me and I’m a 47 year-old 5’7” height and usually wear a women’s size 6 but have broad shoulders. I got the blue in extra extra large and could’ve used the extra large if it was in stock. My arms are long so this is a bit short on me, but I like to scrunch the arms up anyway. Can wear almost all year round. Love it.

Great spring jacket

Very nice denim jacket. My grandaughter saw it at the store and fell in love. It is very soft and comfy, not stiff like the ususal denim jacket. A bit oversized which is great for layering. Will be nice for spring and cooler summer days

True to size. My daughter is a peanut at 46”. She is a true size S, we got the jacket in XS and it fits perfectly. I would say it is runs oversized. It is mid-weight, perfect for spring.
