A: The Gold Bond Friction Defense is hydrophobic (not water soluble) intentionally formulated this way so that it is “long-lasting” insofar as it will remain on the skin longer than other products especially on those who use while exercising and sweating. The product can be applied liberally as often as needed to reduce friction and soothe skin.

If you suffer from frequent chafing - for example when walking in dress, exercising, skin-skin contact or under the bust - this stick is a very good preventive solution. Its ease of use, good profile for sensitive skin and value for money make it advisable. Of course: do not expect it to be miraculous if the friction is very intense, but it can make a difference.

Changed My Life
Great product! Changed my life! I used to get chafing between my legs on hot days that would last for weeks but after finding and using this product the chafing would go away very quickly. I could also use it when feeling chafing coming on to prevent it from getting worse. I keep several sticks around so I can get it when I need it. I have some at work, in the car, and at home. I always bring some on family trips and it has saved me from discomfort when away from home. I love it and recommend it to everyone that complains about chafing. I can't recommend it enough. It really has changed my life.

Saved me from chafing
I'm a keen runner, but I've always struggled with chafing, which can often leave me with sores or broken skin. Over the years I've tried a few different products to help ease the friction, so I was happy to stumble across Gold Bond, as it's really helped to ease all of my issues. All you need is a small application to the areas most prone to chafing, and that's it! A small amount goes a long way and lasts for hours. Most recently I used this before a half marathon, and found that my most sensitive areas were fine after I'd finished. Most notably there is next to no scent, and the stick format makes it easy to apply to even the most intricate areas. I'll certainly be keeping this as part of my exercise routine going forward!

Thigh chafer relief instantly!
Have always had chafing problems when wearing new uniform pants, this is a holy grail! The aloe helps soothe with its cooling effect. It’s unscented and it doesn’t leave that uncomfy residual feeling once the pants are on. Definitely saved my poor thighs and certainly will be repurchasing.

I LOVE this product. I'm a plus size female with an apron belly. I use this product under my stomach area and underneath my breast. I would like to see a medicated friction bar that could be used when areas get irritated or inflamed that would help heal while protecting at the same time.
