Description
Safely ride rear-facing longer! The Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat offers 3 modes of use to grow with your child from rear-facing harness (4-50 lb) to forward-facing harness (26.5-65 lb) to highback booster (40-100 lb)**. It features a 4-position extension panel that provides up to 5” of extra rear-facing legroom, allowing your child to safely ride rear-facing longer. Children are safer riding rear-facing and should ride rear-facing as long as possible, until they reach the maximum rear-facing height or weight rating for their car seat. With Extend2Fit, the adjustable extension panel and 50 lb rear-facing weight limit allow the seat to grow with your child in rear-facing mode, providing extended rear-facing use. The seat features the No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust Harness System, which allows you to adjust the height of the headrest and harness in one motion, and InRight LATCH for a one-second LATCH attachment. Harnessing is made easier with fuss-free harness storage pockets that conveniently hold the harness out of the way while you get baby in and out of the car seat. This car seat is Graco ProtectPlus Engineered to help protect in frontal, side, rear, and rollover crashes.

Q: Is this car seat able to clip into and out of graco strollers and seat bases? Does it work to transfer from one to the other?

A: No. This car seat installs in the car directly on the seat. Infant seats typically clip in and out of strollers and seat bases such as the Graco Snugride.

A: This model does not have the snuglock. You have to pull the seatbelt out to lock it and retract the slack to tighten.

Q: Is this seat ideal for the newborn stage? Asking because I do not see that it reclines in the rear facing position and I would think that newborns should be positioned to lie down not on their spine

Q: does any padding in the seat need to be removed based on weight? For example with infant seats the neck lining has to be removed once they hit a certain weight is that the same with this seat seeing it can hold babies 4-40+ lbs rear facing? Thank you!

A: Thank you for your inquiry on the Extend2Fit LX 3in1 Car Seat! This seat is certified for use in an aircraft when using the harness system and only on forward-facing aircraft seats. We got the pink one, love that it had a pink option to select (it matches my cars interior) and I went through literally 4 car seats because I couldn’t find one that was easy to install, and fit in my car right that didn’t have my kids head hanging forward when she fell asleep in the car. I even went to the police station for help installing and still wasn’t confident in the prior car seats I tried. The graco extend to fit is everything a parent could hope for in a non rotatable car seat . It has the side impact protection, adjustable base recline with a level indicator letting you know it’s in correctly, nice comfy padding , doesn’t have babies head falling forward when they fall asleep, and is easy to install, it took me 10 minutes and I didn’t need help from any man to get it tight enough. This is the only car seat that I am confident my kiddo will be safe in, and the only one I would recommend to other parents looking for a car seat.

Our son seems super comfortable in it. It’s very easy to install and even un-install! Sometimes I feel car seats can be so complicated to remove but this was easy to take out when needed. The safety features on this car seat are unmatched and our son can stay rear facing longer. We love this car seat so much we bought 2. We have not washed ours yet, but it seems easy to take the cushions off and wash which is a plus! Truly no complaints.

Even with my 99 percentile in height boys, this car seat keeps them rear facing longer and keeps them safer. The ability to convert to the booster seat also helps us not need to buy multiple seats. The straps are easy to adjust and fit them both comfortably, though they are different sizes. The seats feel secure in the car and our kids sit securely in the seats!
