Q: Does anyone with an SUV with fixed headrests know if this car seat works? We have a Durango where we cannot remove the headrests in our middle row and our current car seat does not work for a bigger toddler. Thanks in advance!

We have the same issue in our Sienna and there is a tiny keyhole slot on the side of the base (the base where the pins slide in). If you stick something in there they come out completely. I used a kabob skewer but a small flathead screwdriver might work.

Q: Would I need to purchase 2 of these? We use two different cars. My car and boyfriends truck. So we would need to move the car seat back and forth to whatever vehicle we are using that day. Or is the car seat easy to transfer?

A: It would probably be easiest to have two of them, but that's not financially feasible for everyone. I will eventually be buying 2 so we don't have to worry about switching between cars. It's really just personal preference.

This model is not specifically designed to fit 3 across as it has a width of 19.9" Depending upon your vehicle it may be possible but you would need to make sure that the seats are not overlapping or fighting for spacing, and can be installed properly. We now have 4 of these car seats and honestly, the slim design is essential to make our smaller SUVs as space efficient as possible. The rotating cup holder helps preserve room. Installation was a breeze. My kids sleep easily in these seats so the slim design doesn’t sacrifice comfort. We plan on using these rear facing as long as possible, then forward facing. This seat will last us several years. Additionally — the seat fabric comes off easily to wash. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this car seat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we first took the slim fit 3 in 1 out of the box we noticed how comfortable the padding and material was. It installed easily into our car with the latch system. We have had a hard time tightening the strap in other models but this one was quite smooth. We currently have 3 kids across in the backseat. One rear facing child who is 1 and used this seat. We also have a high back booster using kiddo and a big kid who sits inbetween them. He noted right away how he had more room and it was easier for him to buckle. We can tell that when we turn the seat forward he will also have much more space than with our previous seat. The adjustable cup holders are a convenient feature. They are very low profile compared to most other models but still give the toddler the option to have her drink or snacks within reach. We are excited to use this seat for years to come. The only con we would say is that when in the high back booster phase this seat is much heavier than a typical booster seat because it has the latch system for infant/toddler use, so we likely wouldn’t choose it for moving from car to car but rather keep it as a permanent booster seat in the main car. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending us this seat. We are enjoying it!

We had a different car seat for our older two children, but after trying the SlimFit 3-in-1 seat, we purchased two more for our other children. We love that it offers rear facing, forward facing, and booster options, it really grows with your child and works through every stage of car seat safety! It’s comfortable for all three kids of varying ages (infant, 2yo, 4yo) and the sleek design fits all three seats comfortably in our SUV. Our kids are comfortable and secure on long road trips and we honestly couldn’t ask for anything better.

This car seat far exceeds my expectations. Installing was a breeze and feels so secure. My toddler looks very comfortable in it and doesn’t have any meltdowns. My daughter is getting older, but I still want her and I high back booster just until she reaches the right weight to be out of a booster, so this was a perfect option for her. The headrest is very easy to adjust, and the incline is easy to move from rear facing, forward facing, or to a booster seat. It’s very easy to install with the quick connect to the seat anchors, or easy to add in a seatbelt to install with. I love this car seat because it can grow with my son as he grows, and it is truly much slimmer than most other car seats, which makes it easy to fit more car seats in a row. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This car seat checks all the boxes- plush padding for comfort for your kid, easy to tighten/loosen seatbelt straps, and room to grow. But more importantly, this car seat has smaller features that other brands can’t compete with. I have yet to see any cupholder be able to hold a Simple Modern Stanley Cup- this one can! The release button is under the seat fabric so crumbs cannot get in and loosen the belt path- a much more expensive competitor just had a recall for this! I received an incentive to write this review.
