This narrow all-in-one car seat grows with your child from rear-facing harness (5-40 lb) to forward-facing harness (22-65 lb) to highback booster (40-100 lb). Integrated belt lock-off makes for easy vehicle seat belt installation in forward-facing mode, and allows you to position your seats to maximize space with 3 across. We made thoughtful design choices to make the SlimFit3 easy to adjust with 3 car seats in the back seat. The No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust™ Harness System allows you to adjust the height of the headrest and harness to 10 positions with just one motion for just the right fit. Easily adjust the 4-position recline for a better installation and a comfortable ride. The Rapid Remove cover comes off in 60 seconds, without uninstalling the seat or removing the harness, and is machine washable. Plus, the SlimFit3™ is slim enough to fit 3 across, but spacious enough to keep your growing child comfy. Breathable mesh AirFlow channels provide improved ventilation to keep your child cool and comfortable. Two cup holders are designed to work with the three-across configuration to keep drinks and snacks close at hand. A: Thanks for reaching out with this great question! The SlimFit3 LX 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat is approved for installation with inflatable seat belts. However, when installing do not use the shoulder belt lock-off with inflatable belt systems. We hope this helps!

A: I think the biggest thing is the newer version (LX) is updated to meet the new federal standards that are coming into effect in June 2025. If you look at the rear facing weight requirements, the LX requires rear facing until 26.5lbs whereas the plain slim fit is a lower weight. Side impact standards are also updated. Most old car seats not updated are still safe to use, but they won’t have the updated safety features. Hope this helps!

Q: Does this meet the new claim of side-Impact Tested to FMVSS 213a? I know this test doesn’t get enforced until June 30, 2025 but I want to get ahead.

A: I believe it does! If you look at the weight requirements for rear facing, it’s updated with the 26.5lb requirement for being flipped forward facing. The older plan slim fit model is not.

I have a jeep grand Cherokee and no third row so instead of buying a new car when we have our third baby these seats allow us to fit my 4year old in the middle, the 2 year old on one side, and the newborn on the other! They can all ride safely and we don’t need a minivan yet!

I have other Graco seats, we have also had Nuna and Chico brand seats between all our kids. This specific model has the WORST, most difficult installation out of all of them. I spent over an hour installing it rear-facing the first time. Now tonight I just turned it around forward-facing and again super pain of an installation. The manual is not helpful in terms of how to move the latch system around I had to watch a YouTube video. The latch strap is SO HARD to tighten. I have to fully sit on the seat, putting all my body weight into it, and yank it more than what is comfortably possible for me to get the latch strap tight enough to stop the car seat from moving. When first installing it my partner actually had to tighten it while I physically sat in the seat in order for us to get the latch strap tight enough to stop the car seat from moving. Super unsafe for those who can’t muscle their way to max-tightness as the seat slides all over the place if the strap is even slightly too loose.

Definitely a lot slimmer than most car seats. I have the Graco 4ever & this one looks a lot more comfortable for my baby. It’s great in my Nissan Sentra but will be moving this to my husband’s Honda Accord since it’s a lower car. I watched a video on how to install bc the manual was not detailed & it was easy to install.

Other car seats are super bulky and this one is great. My 4 year old fits comfortably. It’s pretty lightweight but feels super sturdy. Has ventilation on sides to help baby not get too hot. The 5 point harness feels super tough and easy to unlatch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this car seat it. It’s slim enough to fit an additional 4everdlx car seat and a snug ride lite car seat in the backseat. It is super compact but also super comfy. Baby falls asleep in it almost every time he’s in it. I love that it also has airflow channels to help ventilate and keep baby comfortable. I wasn’t expecting that feature but it is nice since little guy can get kind of sweaty at times. There is only two recline positions for rear facing which I was somewhat skeptical about because on the 4everdlx there is 3 and I always used the number three recline for my rear facing toddler’s 4everdlx. After installing I found that the number two recline worked fine as the slim car seat actually sits lower to the seat than has a lower base profile than that of the 4everdlx. Overall this is a beautiful car seat. I got the grey. It is just as study and as just as comfortable if not more than our other 4everdlx. You can absolutely fit 3 across easily in a midsize suv no problem. I would purchase again.

Our daughter used to cry and fuss in her infant seat and that all but stopped with the change to this seat. Easy enough to open and release the straps and install was super easy. I love that the cover is easy to remove for cleaning. I wish they somehow labeled that the release button is under the fabric so that it would be more obvious. And I didn’t like the rubber underside to the little shoulder pads. Wouldn’t be comfortable if wearing a tank top.
