The Graco® SlimFit3™ LX 3-in-1 Car Seat is our slimmest design that fits 3 car seats across, saving space in your back seat without compromising on the safety you trust and the features you need. This narrow all-in-one car seat grows with your child from rear-facing harness (5-40 lb) to forward-facing harness (22-65 lb) to highback booster (40-100 lb). We tested our lightweight 3-across car seat in every configuration, to help ensure your growing family can fit in your vehicle, even with children of different ages who ride in different modes, or when paired with select other Graco car seats. Integrated belt lock-off makes for easy vehicle seat belt installation in forward-facing mode, and allows you to position your seats to maximize space with 3 across. Graco’s exclusive push-button InRight™ LATCH provides an easy, one-second attachment with an audible click to help ensure secure installation. We made thoughtful design choices to make the SlimFit3 easy to adjust with 3 car seats in the back seat. The No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust™ Harness System allows you to adjust the height of the headrest and harness to 10 positions with just one motion for just the right fit. Easily adjust the 4-position recline for a better installation and a comfortable ride. The Rapid Remove cover comes off in 60 seconds, without uninstalling the seat or removing the harness, and is machine washable. Plus, the SlimFit3™ is slim enough to fit 3 across, but spacious enough to keep your growing child comfy. Breathable mesh AirFlow channels provide improved ventilation to keep your child cool and comfortable. Two cup holders are designed to work with the three-across configuration to keep drinks and snacks close at hand. Fuss-free harness storage pockets conveniently hold the harness out of the way while your child gets in and out. Removable, plush head and body inserts help to keep your infant feeling cradled and comfortable. A: Thanks for reaching out with this great question! The SlimFit3 LX 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat is approved for installation with inflatable seat belts. However, when installing do not use the shoulder belt lock-off with inflatable belt systems. We hope this helps!

submitted byGraco Consumer Care - 5 days agoBrand expertA: I think the biggest thing is the newer version (LX) is updated to meet the new federal standards that are coming into effect in June 2025. If you look at the rear facing weight requirements, the LX requires rear facing until 26.5lbs whereas the plain slim fit is a lower weight. Side impact standards are also updated. Most old car seats not updated are still safe to use, but they won’t have the updated safety features. Hope this helps!

A: Thanks for your interest in our limFit3 LX 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat! This model does have a push-button InRight™ LATCH to use in rear and forward facing 5-point harness modes us to 45lb. When this model is in booster mode you can use the InRight™ LATCH up to 100lb since the weight of the child is what is keeping the seat in place, and the vehicle's seatbelt is what is securing the child. These are great for 3 in a row and have ample room. My kids are in the 70-80th percentile in height and weight and despite being slim, these car seats are plenty spacious!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve tried multiple car seats in our 2017 Jeep Wrangler JKU, and the SlimFit3 LX 3-in-1 is the only one that doesn’t eat up the whole back seat. With previous seats, the front passenger had to be pushed all the way forward — basically unusable. This one not only gives us full use of the front passenger seat again, but also leaves room for two additional passengers in the back. Huge win! Our son is 15 months old and 35 inches tall, and he fits perfectly in the rear-facing position. He looks super comfortable, and we love knowing he’s safe without sacrificing space. If you have a smaller SUV or tighter back seat, this car seat is a game changer.

I replaced a different carseat with this carseat and I love it! Good quality, comfortable, sturdy, and feels very safe. The mesh fabric is my favorite part because it gets VERY hot in the south. I also love the color. Install was a little harder than what I’m used to because I usually buy seats with tensioning systems built into them but it wasn’t too bad after pushing down in the seat with firm pressure. It’s not only slim but it’s compact, the passenger seat can sit all the way back with plenty of room to spare so this seat would be good for small vehicles or tall drivers. Overall it’s a great seat, 5 stars!

There’s a lot of things that the slimfit3 lX does well, very nice ventilation, price point and compactness. Unfortunately, all of those things come at the expense of comfort for baby and functionality. I cannot/will not use this seat for longer than 30 minute car rides bc my baby gets quite uncomfortable in it. She never complains in her other car seat by a different brand though.

The seat fits nicely in my 2012 MX5 Miata (NC), which is the largest body style of the 4 models. I need to purchase one more before commenting on how well they fit on a bench seat side by side. I'm a grandparent, so this isn't a daily use item, I have my own seats to make visits easier.

We like the SlimFit3 LX because it is so slim. We’re going to need 3 across in my husband’s truck and it works well for that. However, it is harder to get my 2.5yo in and out of when rear facing. It sits a little higher than the regular SlimFit. The SlimFit3 LX is great for my 10mo when rear facing. We’ll probably switch the seats when we turn the older one forward facing this summer.

On the target app it claims the car seat is for 22-65lb forward facing but when I received the car seat today it states otherwise. I specifically bought this based on the specifications. Not sure why they’d advertise differently than manufacturer. Please, please, please read your manuals. Very misleading.

To be succinct: easy set up and install, lightweight, straps adjust/tighten easily once child is buckled in, the straps fit nicely behind the sides of the seat to easily get kids in and out avoiding fighting with straps. Big fan of this seat! We bought for our 4 (forward facing) and 2 year old (rear facing).
