A: LATCH is the anchor system that many cars have, where the back/underside of the car seat/booster have straps that connect to anchors in your vehicle’s seats.

The strap that comes out of the bottom of the booster in the front is also apart of the Latch system and tightens the straps in the back once anchored. Hopefully this helps! - The Graco Team

A: The latch is to hold the booster seat in place. The seatbelt is secure the child.

This model has the option to be installed with the Latch system or the weight of the child holds the booster in place, so you do not need to install it with the latch system. This model can not be installed with the vehicle's seat belt as that is how you secure your child while they are using this model. If you do not install with the latch system we do recommend to make sure the booster is secure when not in use so it does not move around while driving. Hopefully this helps! - The Graco Team.
