[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love the collagen powder that has no taste because it really. . . has no taste! I mix it into my coffee in the morning and it doesn't alter the flavor at all. It also dissolves really well, so I'm not having to choke down dry, powdery clumps. I've been enjoying the great lakes collagen powder daily (some days I do half the recommended amount just to stretch it) for about four months now and when I tell you my hair and nails grow so fast I can barely believe it. I used to have really brittle, slow-growing nails, but I'm having to cut my nails every week because they get too long. And they aren't breaking! I realized my hair was growing really fast when I had a haircut and was ready to make an appointment for another at just under the 2 month mark. Usually, I could go four months until I needed another, but I've had a lot of friends commenting on how fast my hair grows, and it's true. I was skeptical at first about the true efficacy of collagen powder (was it just another beauty fad?), and since I'm trying to stick to a tight budget, I keep considering nixing the collagen, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

It dissolves beautifully in hot liquids and it does not overpower the coffee or tea that I am drinking. I have not tried it with cold drinks, but that is not my thing. In addition, their travel packets are fantastic!

My nails seem nice and strong when I use it regularly. I think it does help my digestion too. Not noticing any difference in skin. At times I do notice less hair in my brush and shower. Order processing is great too, always on time before I run out.

Past ones I have tried have been very persnickety, needing to be added only to hot beverages, or only to cold, and clumping into sticky bits if not done absolutely correctly. With Great Lakes, I can add to cold orange juice, hot coffee, or my daily smoothie and never have a problem. Not sure if my bones or skin are improving, but I am definitely growing fingernails for the first time. Good product, will keep using.

I put it in our coffee for a couple weeks & didn’t tell my husband, as a test, he went out of town for a couple days and didn't have it, he mentioned when he got home after a couple of days of having it back in his coffee that his gut was acting up when he was gone and now it was better so I told him about this product and he’s is sold and has told people. The recent packaging is total garbage. Massively oversized plastic container. 3 inches of wasted space. Doesn’t fit well in a cabinet. It truly doesn’t make any sense. Also I prefer the non twist lid for ease of use. I’m not traveling with this colossal vat, so a pop off top would work just fine.

Kinesiology test last year, compared to Natures sunshine did as good or better with serving size & grams of collagen needed for me. I liked that it was simply collagen without extra supplements I don't want.
