- When your Kullerbu set is ready to grow upwards or in length then you generally need additional "construction material" in the form of columns, straight sections, curves and connecting elements. All this is included in the practical Kullerbu expansion sets.

Q: If we have an earlier set of HABA Kullerbu and it has the blocks and not the green connections will any of these like the Sim Sala Kling work together? And what connections do I need to buy...the green ones, the blue with the post ones.

A: Yes! The set you are describing is part of our My First Ball Track series which is compatible with Kullerbu. The Sim Sala Kling, Windmill set and spiral track set are all great options and would not require any additional pieces. You can always add extra columns and base/connectors as needed when growing your layouts but you shouldn't need any to start. You will likely NOT need the light green floor connector pieces as those are intended for flatter layouts (like City Stroll and kringel roundabout). While those are compatible, they are geared towards vehicles and don't have the height element that makes the ball track sets so fun. Hope that helps!

I purchased additional parts for our existing set of marble run (simsalakling). Both kids have continuously been playing and building with it for 1.5 years now. The older one (6) is able to build independently and likes to explore with smaller marbles and matchbox cars as well as various other balls. He combines this with Rube Goldberg type constructions, while the younger one (3) likes to run things down and watch. Even though my older kid would be able to enjoy a more sophisticated set, he prefers the simplicity of construction, scale and limited variety of pieces, because it stimulates his creativity far more than the overwhelmedness of a more busy set. Plus the marbles are visible during the entire run, which I find very helpful for cause and action STEM development. This is an item that gets played with beyond the recommended age recommendation and holds up very well. Pricey, but worth the investment for us.
