Description

The farmyard animals are very excited. All of a sudden, a few days before Christmas, lots of beautifully wrapped gifts appear. Maybe Santa accidentally lost them? Theo the raven is determined to find out. The animals also need Theo’s help with all the preparations that need to be done before Christmas. So the little raven has plenty to do – the children learn what he needs to do every day when they open a calendar door. Lovingly designed play material lets them actively experience and recreate the story. Makes the time before Christmas pass quickly! Perfect for all children ages 2 years and older. ​ Cleaning Instructions: HABA recommends using a cloth lightly dampened with warm water. If you wish to disinfect the toy with a cleaning agent, use a small amount of either water and a mild dish soap or a water & vinegar essence mix. Both options work extremely well in destroying bacteria and cleaning wooden toys. After cleaning, wipe the toy dry with a clean cloth. Remember, Wood is a natural material that soaks in moisture. Do not ever submerse wooden toys in water or place in a dishwasher. Disinfectants (even organic baby wipes), should not be used as they can damage the water based protective coatings applied to protect the stains or paints beneath.

    The Advent calendar itself is very nice, and my son finds it really exciting and fun to open every day. Unfortunately, the paper inside the calendar — the recycled cardboard used for the inner structure — has a very strange and extremely unpleasant smell. The more windows we open, the stronger and worse the odor becomes. It honestly smells like dog waste or vomit. Because of this, it’s impossible to relax and enjoy having it around. We even tried spraying the inside with perfume to mask the smell, but it either doesn’t help at all or only helps for a very short time. It’s very disappointing, because otherwise the calendar would be great.

    Anxiously awaiting Advent

    I love this Advent Calendar. I wish they would have put the numbers on the block toys for each day so I could reuse it, but bought another one for next year I recommend it highly, the story was cute too!!

    High Quality Advent and a Christmas Story

    This advent calendar is very high quality, the wooden animals are so well drawn and have a nice weighted feel in the hand. I was concerned that some of them might be accessory figures like I've seen with others that my youngest child wouldn't understand, but they were all animals except for a Christmas tree and a snowman... and the snowman was her favorite! The story that came with the calendar was an unexpected gift and really added to our new tradition. The nightly story drew them in and was the perfect length for a child-sized attention span. Highly recommend!

    Perfect for the little siblings!

    Such a cute little advent calendar for the little ones. My youngest was at the age that I knew he wouldn't be happy if he was left out and I was so happy to find a calendar that was age appropriate for him. The wooden animals are adorable and will last for years to come too!

The calendar comes with a storybook to read a chapter each day! The story is about a different animal each day and how they interact with Theo the Raven as he tries to save Christmas! My grandkids want me to let them open more doors to continue the story...this is going to be fun!
