About the Book
This vibrant board book teaches little ones key Hebrew words from the Bible and helps them place important biblical events in proper order.Book Synopsis
This vibrant board book teaches little ones key Hebrew words from the Bible and helps them place important biblical events in proper order. Did you know that an overwhelming majority of the Old Testament was originally written in Hebrew? This beautiful and ancient language enriches our understanding of Scripture and deepens our love for Elohim, our Creator and Judge. Hallelujah, the latest offering in the innovative Baby Believer(R) series, introduces children to 10 essential Hebrew words from the Bible--their written appearance, definition, and pronunciation--and familiarizes little ones with the timeline of major events in God's Word from creation to Revelation. We love Baby Believer Books in our home, and Hallelujah is no different. Its’ beautiful pictures paired with Bible verses and Hebrew vocabulary makes discipling your children fun and educational for everyone. It has many popular Hebrew words but also ones I never heard, even though I grew up in the church. So happy to be able to teach my kiddos Hebrew in an easy and fun way.

Hallelujah has been a wonderful addition to our bookshelf next to so many other wonderful titles from the Baby Believer series. While my kids still have other favorites from this series that are primers for things the encounter more frequently like colors, counting and opposites, I love that I can use this book to help my kids understand some Hebrew words that are prevalent in the Bible. It even helped me to see and read words that come up frequently in sermons at our church. As always, the images are beautiful and we love the simplicity and quality of these books that can be read beyond the board book years!
For the bigs, too!

Once again Danielle and Jessica have brought their beautiful work to life in this new addition to the Baby Believer series! We have loved these books over the years and as my kids get older I’m so thankful they are able to grow with the ages. As a mom of four with kiddos ranging from 12 to almost one, I’m so thankful for a series that gets us in the word together and has something to offer for everyone! Hallelujah is a fun one because my kids only knew a few of the Hebrew words and now they are interested to learn more! It really sparks some deeper conversation about biblical times, languages, and culture. Definitely recommend!

My family has been counting down the days for the launch of Baby Believer’s newest book Hallelujah: A Biblical Hebrew Primer! A beautiful and unique addition to the series. I absolutely love that this book teaches our kids (& us!!) Hebrew. I’m a big believer of “smarting-up people,” not “dumbing down the Bible” and this book shows just that - even our little ones can learn “big” terms. These books are both on our bookshelf at home and in all our nursery classrooms at church. As a mama, I love that my 2 year old stacks these books on the couch for me to read each one to him daily. As a ministry wife, I love that my husband (our church’s children’s director) can feel confident in the books that the 1-5 year olds are reading in their classrooms. Danielle Hitchen continues to blow me away with these beautiful, Biblically sound books!!

We have every book in the baby believer series, and Hallelujah is a great addition! The illustrations are vivid and beautiful as usual. This book is so unique! It ties the Hebrew words and definitions with their use in Scripture beautifully, and points our eyes to Christ! I have not seen anything like this on the market. My children and I have thoroughly enjoyed this book. Danielle does a wonderful job leaving the reader longing for Christ's glorious, triumphant return! Add this precious book to your collection!

This book is a sweet way to help toddlers and preschoolers connect with Scripture while encouraging language awareness. Danielle subtly teaches both the beauty of God’s Word and the richness of the Hebrew language. Each page focuses on a single Hebrew word, connecting it to the English translation in a bible verse. There are pronunciation guides for each word, so everyone can say the Hebrew word, even if you’ve never learned it before. The artwork that goes with each page is stunning. Jessica has the wonderful ability to create illustrations that are both objectively beautiful for adults and also simplistic and engaging enough to capture the attention of children. My kids love flipping through the pages of this book.

As always, Hallelujah - A Biblical Hebrew Primer is another fabulous book by Danielle Hitchen & Jessica Blanchard! My seminary-trained pastor husband especially loves this one (& had fun teaching the kids some of the Hebrew he learned many years ago). It is sturdy, beautiful, colorful, well thought-out, and an all-around great book resource for any home, church, or preschool library.

This book has been the most beautiful addition my toddler's library. I find it difficult to get Scripture based books that are approachable by toddlers who have short attention spans. So many books are great for older kids who can sit still for a little longer; this book is really perfect for that age group. The pictures and colors are inviting and the text is brief enough to feel like I am planting little seeds of faith and Scripture for my child without sitting down for a whole Sunday School lesson. Thank you Catechesis Books for filling a noticeable gap in the Christian children's book world!

We are so excite to add this newest addition to our baby believers book collection! As with all the other books we’ve owned from this line, the illustrations are beautiful and each page is filled with biblical truths for our littles. This would make the perfect gift for a child or new parent, or a great addition to your personal children’s book collection!
Great for the whole family!

This book may be our favorite of the Baby Believer books! The pictures and verses that go with each Hebrew word are wonderful. My pastor husband was impressed, too and couldn’t wait to use it to teach our kids some Hebrew! It’s a great book for the whole family to enjoy together. I will be gifting it to lots of little ones in my life.

My kiddos and I just love these Baby Believer books from Catechesis Books and we were so excited to receive an early copy of the newest book this week. Hallelujah: A Biblical Hebrew Primer teaches important Hebrew words like “Yahweh” and “Elohim” and references where those words are found in the Bible. As a mom, each Baby Believer book has been a helpful tool in teaching doctrinal truths to my children in an age appropriate way. These books are well-loved in our home and we are so excited to add another to our collection!
Another great book from the Baby Believer series!

A Hebrew primer is a neat idea. Our kids have enjoyed it. Like other books in the Baby Believer series, the illustrations are bright and colorful. The board book itself is well made and will stand up to years of use.

This beautiful board book is a unique and valuable addition to our home library! I have not found a book that goes into Biblical Hebrew for children and Hallelujah is written in such an accessible way to introduce children to these concepts! I am a long time fan of the Baby Believer series and Hallelujah is no exception! Danielle is so thoughtful with the Scripture she includes and Jessica illustrates it beautifully!! You can’t go wrong with this! Perfect for a baby shower, birthday, Easter, or Christmas gift! I highly recommend!

We LOVE Danielle's new Baby Believer book, Hallelujah! The book is a boardbook. The artwork is so fantastic (as with the rest of the series!). What we love most is learning the Hebrew words; I love that there is pronunciation help and it has created some beautiful conversation with our toddlers (and older kids) about how there are many languages in the world from many different cultures... all that God has made! My older kids are also fascinated with the language of Hebrew and what it looks like written down. Overall, this book has been a great addition to our home library! This is also a great baby shower gift, 1st birthday gift, or gift for any occasion!

This newest Baby Believer book introduces littles to Hebrew which is a concept I have not found in a board book before. Initially, I worried it might be too complex and go over my kids heads, but I was wrong. In true Baby Believer fashion, the book exceeded my expectations. I love that this book includes pronunciations and a Bible verse where that Hebrew word is used so that I can help my kids understand the context and the original language. The book is sturdy, and the artwork is beautiful showcasing pictures that broadly walk through the biblical narrative. Two thumbs up here.

Such a fun book! We love learning about Biblical Hebrew and now we have a book with words our daughter can learn! The colorful cover and pages keep our little one engaged and ready to flip to the next page! The illustrations are so cute! We love that every page has a scripture reference. I can always count on these to be solid theologically and I do not have to wonder if these are questionable books for my little one. Danielle and Jessica have done such a great job on all the Baby Believer books!

'Hallelujah' is the latest book in the Baby Believer series by Danielle Hitchen, and like the others in the series that we have it is a beautiful book with simple, common Biblical Hebrew words for children (and adults!) to learn. We love that there are common words such as 'Yahweh', 'hallelujah', and 'amen' in addition to other lovely words like 'shalom (peace)', and 'Elohim (God)'. There is a pronunciation guide below each word (so don't be afraid if you don't know any Hebrew!) as well as the meaning or meanings of the word and a Bible verse showing where the word can be found within the scriptures. My almost two year old reaches for this book every night because she knows 'amen' is in it and she holds the book and says amen over and over with delight! The illustrations by Jessica Blanchard are stunning and vibrant! They beautifully depict the whole story of the Bible from creation (Elohim), to crucifixion (chesed), to the return of Christ (amen). Each illustration captures an important moment where these words are found within the Scriptures. I think the combination of the Hebrew words with the whole Biblical story is a powerful way of showing how God is present and constant within both Old and New Testaments and through to today. The one thing I wish the book had was a little note that lets everyone know that the Hebrew language is read from right to left- not left to right like English. I know many people will already know this, but others may not be aware of this difference, so just know before you start pointing out the words with your kids or learning them for yourself.
