Katherine H Beautiful & truth-filled books! - My family loves the Baby Believer primer books and have been blown away by the new title in the series - The Kingdom of Heaven: A Gardening Primer. Danielle and Jessica have done it again with beautiful pictures and thoughtful words straight from Scripture to go along with the theme. My son loves the pictures and I love that I’m reading such Truth to him! I love that this came out in March because it is perfect for springtime and summertime! It’s a great Easter basket filler or baby shower gift! My husband is the Children’s Director at our church and he will be ordering this to add to the nursery bookshelves!
Gwen S Gardening and a growing faith - Hello Spring and hello to the perfect companion book for little believers and gardeners alike. Gardening and raising children who grow strong in their faith are two of my passions as a mother of two small children. Danielle Hitchen's newest book, The Kingdom of Heaven is such a great board book primer that combines both faith and gardening into one beautifully done children's book that follows the concepts from seed, to bloom, to harvest. It speaks to how our faith starts small like a seed, yet when nurtured it will grow just like our own backyard garden. The text draws simple yet powerful parallels that are easy for children to understand. I couldn't be happier to add this book to our collection of Baby Believer books and love that my children enjoy the faith filled text and illustrations as much as I do.

The Kingdom of Heaven uses the many allusions to gardening in the Bible to teach little ones about God's kingdom and their role in it. The story of mankind starts in a garden, and references to planting, growing, sowing, and reaping can be found throughout Scripture. Most important, Jesus uses this relatable imagery to describe how his followers are to mature in their faith and share God's truth with others. This stylish and creative board book provides young children a first step toward understanding how God's kingdom works and the important part they play in it. In addition to basic Bible theology, Baby Believer(R) board books are filled with quotations from the Bible, creeds, hymns, church fathers, and other articles of faith to help reinforce the content and provide intellectual handholds for older children who possess a greater capacity for learning and memorization.
Review Quotes
"Catechesis begins very early in life. The hearts and minds of our kids are being shaped by the media, models, and voices around them--for better or worse. Christian parents should try to surround their kids with resources for healthy spiritual formation. That's why I love the Baby Believer(R) series from Catechesis Books. It's never too early to teach theology to little ones!"
--Brett McCracken, senior editor at The Gospel Coalition, author of The Wisdom Pyramid: Feeding Your Soul in a Post-Truth World
"I'm a huge (full-grown) believer in the Baby Believer series. We know the Word of God does not return void. These books provide a wise, winsome, and creative way to begin sowing the seeds of biblical truth into the hearts and souls of our children. When the core concepts of the Christian proclamation are sown into us from an early age, those seeds will bear their fruit in the right season."
--Timothy Dalrymple, president and CEO of Christianity Today
"The Baby Believer series offers big theological truths to little hearts in a beautiful and simple way. They make great gifts for new moms!"
--Emily Jensen and Laura Wifler, cofounders of Risen Motherhood
