This fleece is great, I bought it for my NICU preemie baby who was under 5lbs. I wanted to keep the same sleep swaddles as the hospital to help with the transition to sleeping at home. However the zip SUCKS. It has to go from the top (neck) to the bottom (feet). It only has one zip. So imagine trying to put it on a squirmy baby? Sure during diaper changes you don’t have to unzip completely it but depending on the length of your child and how quickly they grow it might not matter much. Unfortunately there is no way to know when you order which zip you are going to get (I asked via customer care). Hence the four stars. Would have put 3. 5 but alas.

Great for colder nights. This actually worked better for us while it was still summer, as we kept it cooler inside. Now that’s cooling off, we actually keep our house warmer inside, so prefer the cotton one.

Our newborn loves sleeping in this swaddle. It is a warm fleece material but not too thick to cause overheating. We use it at night to differentiate between daytime and nighttime sleep and it has been very effective. The preemie size is significantly shorter than the newborn size. Our baby was 19 inches at birth and we transitioned to newborn size at 3 weeks. Baby has plenty of room to grow and I anticipate we will be able to use the newborn size for at least 6 - 8 weeks. Highly recommend this product.
