Harry's Shaving Cream for Men - 6oz

I have just recently bought two of this products. They both did not lather. I have been buying Harry's for a while and suddenly their product stopped lathering. It disappears on your face. Returned both containers for a refund. What's going on here?

Dislike the minty scent and it doesn’t spread evenly or lather well. Wouldn’t use again.

It doesn’t spread evenly on the skin and I’m not a fan of the cooling sensation.

The product is no longer shaving cream but more like a lotion not made for shaving. I don’t recommend buying again until they improve the product.

They must have reformulated it when they switched from travel size bottles— another issue I have with it now. Harry’s has been my go-to for years, but the new shaving cream has the consistency of wet lotion. I can’t get a close shave because it’s so slick, and I cut myself more frequently because it’s impossible to lather consistently. Harry’s was the best shaving cream I’d ever used when I discovered it, but I think I have to move on.

I am a loyal Harry's customer, and absolutely love the razors and shave plan. The shaving cream, however, is terrible. It does not foam, the blade does not glide (even using pre-shave oil).

I've used this shave cream for over a year. The shave is smooth, close, and easy to rinse off when done. I have used one tube for over a year, just now started to use my second tube. Talk about value!

I have a full beard so don't use a lot of this product, but since my first purchase about 18 mos ago I've used nothing else. I'd forgotten what a positive contribution a great shave cream could make to a comfortable shave. No more aerosol cans for me. Great product, great price, great service. Thanks

I've been blade shaving for 35 years. Using Gillette and Barbasol shave cream products (gels, and, straight aerosol canned foam), which seemed to be the best, until now. So, the PLUS side - while I have no chemical information (such as the MSDS or "ingredients" list) the shave cream seems to have quite a bit of lubricant, or at least it behaves as such (as I say, I don't know the contents). I think the reason shaving hurts is the scraping, friction and pulling at your beard while removing the hair. Certainly softening your beard will help (shave after a hot shower, for example) but if the shave cream can lessen any of these, it's less painful. And this seems to work. Very well. Also, the multi-blade razor has some flex in the blade manifold which runs along your face. I'm not used to this, and I found it odd at first. Now that I've become used to it, it occurs to me that it may also help to ease the direct pressure of a sharp blade edge on the sharp edges of your face (like the jaw, for example). Small changes, but for me anyway, much better results. Now, the CON side - the shave cream does not foam or spread evenly like you may be used to. This leads me to use more of it for coverage as I want to make sure I've got the lubricant everywhere. I've tried it at both room temperature, and after heating in a sink of hot water during showering. Heating it seems to make it spread better, however, too warm and it will start to act like a liquid instead of a cream. It appears to lose some of it's cohesive ability to adhere to skin and actually start to run (right off your chin). So, moderately warm appears best. And because of this spreading issue, I use a lot of it. And if you use a lot of anything because of the way it's made or the way the application works for you, it will cost you quite a bit more money. For me it's definitely worth it, but because of this issues, I've given it 4 out of 5 stars. UPSHOT (4/5) - the shave cream and razor result in a great shave. But because of the way the shave cream tends to resist even application to my face, I'm using a lot of it. Years. For literal years, I have been scraping my face and trying new blades, hoping that one might finally be smooth enough to NOT leave me a bloody mess at the end of every shave. Turns out, it wasn't the blades, but the quality of my shave cream. Coming from a world of aerosol gels and lathering pucks, this cream is a godsend. I cannot provide enough of a rave review to explain my happiness! I will be a loyal consumer of this product for life.

Totally recommend this to anyone to try at least once. I don't think its as good as good as other name brands but so close. The pricing is very good. The products are very good. The speed of shipping is very good. Highly recommend trying unless you need the very best. Been using this for about 2 years.

After 40 years of scraping metal over my face (disposable razors, double edge razors, etc) finally shaving products and a razor that won't exsanguinate you. And much cheaper than an arsenal of styptic pencils and plasters. Instead of dreading each morning's shave, I actually enjoy it. Bravo (and thank you).

I much prefer the cream over the gel and you just need a small amount. The bottle is small for the price so it's not a bargain like the blades.

This shave cream is pretty mediocre. I like the smell and feel of the cream, but it doesn't offer the amount of protection I need while shaving. You're better to spend your money on something premium.

Have been buying Harry's Products for a year now. When I ran out of shaving cream I had to revert back to Gilette among others for a period of time. Harry's doesn't only last longer, but gives a smoother, closer shave, with no irritation afterwards (as opposed to other shaving creams)

I have been using my razor with the shaving cream and the foam, both are excellent. Use the shaving cream when in the shower, works better than anything I have used previously.

I am definitely a fan of the shave cream. Before moving to Harry's I would get a fair amount of nicks and cuts. Combining the sharp blades and the shave cream has made this a thing of the past. I can safely shave even if I don't have time to splash warm water. Just spread it on, shave and wipe off with a towel. No razor burn too. I get the large size for home and the smaller one for travel (yes 3.4oz is ok for TSA carry on).
