J.K. Rowling is the author of the seven Harry Potter novels, which have sold over 450 million copies and have been translated into 79 languages, and three companion books originally published for charity. Q: Is this book illustrated as a kids novel would be? Colored pictures for bedtimes story reading? Pictures on every page or every other?

A: The illustrations are every other or every third page. Some are smaller and others take up a whole page. Perfect for bedtime reading imo.

The pictures are so beautiful and accurate. I read all theses books Growing up and sometimes I was disappointed while watching the movie since something’s didn’t reflect the book (happens to all books right?). Slowly getting all the collections buying them on discount. The only problem is the discount sticker will be on the cover but is easy to take it off. Can’t wait to have them all!

A lot of people mentioned the issue with the sticker on the front cover so I was hesitant to purchase a copy from here. I did see one in store that had the sticker but I ordered mine online for home delivery and it arrived without anything on it. As far as the book itself, the illustrations are impressive and I’m excited to add this to my HP collection! Ordered book 3 first as it’s one of my favorites from the series but planning to order books 1 and 2 next.

Beautiful illustrations. These are books which you will keep forever. They belong in a collection. Gave them to my son as he’s 9 and is overwhelmed by books with no illustrations. This helps. He was excited to read them.

I bought all the illustrated books recently and randomly decided to start reading this one first. I do like that this is actually the British version of the book - using their punctuation style, words, etc. It was fun noticing those little changes, like "course schedule" in the US version being "timetable" in this one. However, I was disappointed by the lack of illustrations. There are often long stretches of pages with no pictures, or with little tiny pictures in the corner or throughout the page that are really not important to the story. I am only halfway through this book, but I was surprised there was no illustration of Christmas at Hogwarts or the Firebolt. Sometimes we'll get a picture along the bottom of the page, like building silhouettes, but that feels a little like a cheat. I think these are a must have for people who love Harry Potter, but I do wish there were more illustrations.

This is the 3rd book illustrated by Jim Kay and we absolutely love it. My son is very visual and having these wonderful illustrations further deepens my sons interested in wanting the read these books. I believe so far there are only 4 of the book series with Jim Kay illustrations. I hope the rest of the series will soon be available. I highly recommended it.

I bought this for my nephew because he is taking a Harry Potter Book Club Class. It is a beautiful book. I did receive a book that had a 20% off sticker. I didn't get 20% off so I don't know why they would send me a book with that sticker on it. The sticker left a residue on the cover when I removed it but that is my only complaint.

I love these books, they're beautiful, a stunning work of art. I'm planning to collect these and read them to my future children and grandchildren but Target put these ugly 20% off STICKERS right on the FRONT COVER of these beautiful hard cover illustrated editions. I don't know how to remove these without damaging the covers. I would rather have paid full price for all of these than get a discount and these marred covers.
