Heavyweight Cable Tie-Out for Dogs - 100lbs - 30ft - Boots & Barkley™

After getting the tie out set up, I looked at my hands and it looked like I had colored all over them with yellow highlighter. I opted *not* to use this at all on my dog to avoid staining his fur with whatever this tie out is colored with.

We've had at least a couple of these, but I'm done. The yellow plastic coating cracked in a few places (due to UV in the summer and cold in the winter). The metal cable inside corroded so much that it eventually broke and my dog ran away. Luckily we have friendly neighbors and dog tags with my name and number on them, so I was able to find him again. This has happened a couple of times, but I'm done with this cheap cable. I'm going to find a stainless steel cable wrapped in a UV-resistant sheathing. The extra cost will be well worth it to know it won't rust through and break like these yellow lines do.

Works as it should. The bright color makes it easy to see in the yard.

Purchased this on May 1st, today is May 27th and the metal part is completely rusted. The yellow plastic also transferred color to my hands. RETURNING!!!

Yellow hands from taking out of package and untwisting everything initially. It has been used for less than 20 minutes on day one and my hands still smell like rubber and took two good scrubs with soap to get the yellow off. I'm going to give this a few days and May update my review but with this turns my dog colors or continues to stain things I will be taking it back!

Works great but left a yellow residue all over my dog.

My dog likes to be outside and we use this heavy cable tie and secure it to the ground. It stays and I know my dog is safe when he is outside!

It broke when my dog was on it 60lb dog. Pulled and the cable came off the latch and dog ran. Opposite of what I bought it for.

Great length and very sturdy. Gives my 45 pound dogs plenty of space to wander when we’re outside and they need to be leashed. Only downside is, don’t get caught by it when they run after a squirrel, it hurts!

Be very careful with this cable. Twice, when my dog shakes his head, the spring loaded latch failed, and my dog ran off. The first time I thought perhaps it was my fault, but after being very careful to make sure it was secure, and it happened again, I am certain the latch mechanism is simply not sturdy enough. I am returning for my dog’s safety.

Love how visible this is. I wish this color and weight came in a shorter size, but we made it work.

Lasted 1/3 the length of time some of our other (cheaper) ones have. My dog is also 60 lbs, 14 years old, so she isn't even pulling at it. It was purely poor tensile quality in the corded metal fibers. However in a bind if I needed something today, i would purchase again. Lasted 2 months.

I have an 80lb pitbull, and it works. It allows him the freedom to walk around the yard, and I dont have to worry about him wandering off.

Terrible quality. First snowfall, completely rusted and unusable.

We use this to tie up our dog in the backyard. We like how well it holds up in the winter.

The product worked however because the color is so light it was hard to keep clean outside. Very durable though!

My dogs learned how to jump the 8 foot privacy fence in our yard, so I purchased these to let them roam while being unsupervised. It works and I like that it's lightweight, but if you touch the lead portion it turns your hands and anything you touch after bright highlighter-yellow.
