I have a large dark spot on my face from acne and some redness that I haven't been able to find a product that hides it until now. This rescue balm is great for using without makeup or it also layers well under makeup. It makes spots much less noticeable. It blends well with my skin so you don't notice it's even there. It doesn't leave any stickiness or shine. I love being able to cover the spots that make me self conscious with Rescue Balm! I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. I still prefer the original formula to this one, but this is a great product and a million times better than the reformulation. I feel it has less coverage than the og, but works better for everyday and under makeup where I used the og as my foundation. The formula is nice and goes on well, however it’s a little hard to wash off so I would for sure double cleanse on days you wear this. If I didn’t have the original to compare it to, I would give this 5 stars and love it. But unfortunately it’s still not as good. I wish someone could buy the old formula recipe and make it again!! Until then, I will keep using this as I tried so many other redness products and none of them worked well for me, or they had fragrance or pore clogging ingredients which I don’t use. Anyway thanks hero for trying and improving but I do wish it was the same formula as the original

This is one of the worst formula changes that no one asked for! It’s just oily like baby oil. the new green tint is nonexistent. There is no dry down to it. It just stays greasy. The color does not really change either! It just stays a green orange tint. This was the 1 thing that worked for me and after a few years it’s gone. I just finished my last original tube. The disappointment in the change is Massive and the company doesn’t seem to care.

You will love using Hero Cosmetics rescue balm plus red correct. It has been improved since I last tried it, it now has more coverage and leaves more of a matte finish. Also it now can has a lower price point. The coverage is so immediate, all redness gone from my face. I received this product for free all opinions are my own.

This makes me so sad. I used this as basically a foundation and it worked so well my skin was beginning to heal and look so healthy and hydrated. This new formula feels nothing like the old, and doesn't cover like it used to. So bummed wont be buying the new version again.

I recently tried this color corrector and it works like a charm. The encapsulated pigments quickly go from green to a light tone that is similar to my naturally fair skin. I have combination skin and the Panthenol and Linoleic acid provide great moisturization for my skin. The product works great for those stubborn red spots. The color-changing formula blends in easily and does a great job reducing the appearance of redness without looking heavy or cakey. I also noticed the new formula has better coverage and a more matte finish, which helped my skin look more even throughout the day while still feeling comfortable. A little really does go a long way, I only needed a small amount to cover the redness around my blemishes, and it layered well under my makeup without pilling. I also appreciate that it helps soothe post-blemish dryness while providing coverage, making it a great multitasking product for busy mornings. The new lower price point is another huge plus, making this an even better value. If you spot the "New & Improved Formula" on the packaging, it's definitely worth picking up if you're looking for a simple way to calm redness and create a more even-looking complexion.

I used to LOVE this product, but I recently bought the “new and improved” formula, and I’m so disappointed!! The new formula doesn’t cover my redness or spots nearly as well as the old formula. The product used to actually cancel out the redness instead of turning colors, and would sit more like a concealer on my spots, whereas the new one is more like a cream that needs to be blended into the skin. Please bring back the old formula!!

This arrived in the perfect time. My face was breaking out and I used this on my pimples while they were healing. This balm has done wonders in helping my pimples heal and it has also been good on the post pimple redness. I like this is not sticky, oily, greasey or heavy. Its easy to use and not heavily scented.

#ad. This does a pretty good job at color matching, but doesn’t fully cover redness. I don’t think it did that much for me beyond reducing the redness in comparison to other products. It wasn’t bad, but not a must for me. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review

Soft green, blends very well, helps with redness from blemish spots or redness around nose. Isn’t dry or chalky, has a soft powdery finish.

I loved this rescue balm overhauled formula! The price point improvement is very affordable for the quality. It absolutely met my expectations and balanced my redness better than anything I've tried. It more than eliminated my redness with little product necessary, it also blurred my shine/oil, making the skin matte but didn't sacrifice feeling moisturized. Most notably for me, I found it extremely effective for giving a perfect base under makeup because my redness often will pop through even with concealer + foundation but not this time, the coverage is impressive! It works in about 15 seconds and I find tapping it in allows it to really blend and cover the redness. I was really pleasantly surprised with the new Color-Correcting Rescue Balm! It does a better job red-correcting than purpose bought concealers AND helps heal the problem spot.
