Item had a great price and it would have great value if it hadn't arrived covered in some sort of greasy substance. I don't know what this substance could be but it covered other items in the order as well and leaves my fingers grey. Target is requesting me to ship the item back but I feel nauseous even touching it due to the smell and feel of the substance. Will try returning to a store.

Good dumbbell but has odor
It is a good dumbbell. The grip is thin which we wanted. The rubber has some smell that is strong compared to other rubber coated dumbbells we purchased from another store. Unfortunately, the odor does not go away after cleaning with soap and water.

We are sorry for any issues you encountered with your dumbbell. We recommend wiping the weight down with a soft cloth and a solution of 50/50 water and witch hazel to help dissipate the odor. Please leave in an open space and allow the dumbbell to dry completely.
