A: Yes, it can hold the phone horizontally. The part that holds the phone can be rotated ninety degrees, so that the phone is horizontal but still being held by its sides.

Happy with it
It’s a good phone stand. I like it and I use it on my desk a lot I feel like it does a good job and it keeps the phone away from my hands and on an elevated surface for a nice view. It’s a good product.

Surprisingly nice tripod!
Nice little tripod, has an easy to use Bluetooth clicker, easily holds even larger phones. Folds up into a small form that easily fits inside a backpack or desk drawer. This is great for vlogging, FaceTime, or watching videos.

Handy Tripod
Nice little tripod that I’ve been using on trips to get group photos easier. It was easy to put together considering it was 2 pieces in the box. The remote was extremely easy to pair to my phone. However, the part that holds the phone is not sturdy and will only tighten so much. I have a iPhone plus and it kept flopping over like it couldn’t handle the weight of the phone. Overall a good product but a major downfall when attempting to take photos

Great control remote is a bonus
Very firm hole doesn’t allow for a lot of Google or movement. It does allow for adjusting easily to get the proper look. I liked it. It has the Bluetooth remote so I can control it from farther away. It is also compatible with the heyday ring light.

Good little phone tripod
Got this primarily so it would be easier to get full length group photos on friends trips, and it'll get the job done! The arm folds down so it'll be compact for my suitcase and the tripod is steady. I like the remote, easy to pair to my phone with Bluetooth and small enough to hide in hand for the photo. Arm rotates for both portrait and landscape photos.

Phone stand that can't hold a phone in place
This is a nifty little desk top device that I thought would be great for holding my phone at eye level and keeping it perfectly still for things like zoom meetings and other uses while I was free to be on my computer. However, this device is not ready for current phones or use. I like the compact style and the way the legs fold in and out of the way but that is not enough to save it from the difficulties. As you can see in the picture, the magnets are not strong enough for modern phones. I used my iphone 15 pro with no case and it was not able to hold it. Basically without being able to support the phone the phone stand has very little functionality to offer. I was able to get it to hold for a few seconds albeit at an angle and precariously, for the photo but that was it.

Came broken, but seems nice
We were disappointed with this product. The screw that connects the arm portion to the tripod stand would not thread together. The remote that comes with this tripod also did not work so I’m not sure what it even does. The product otherwise looked to be well made, but we were never able to use it.

Nice phone addition
This phone mount was fairly easy to put together but I would suggest tightening the bolt on the top of the base before screwing in the top part (ball moves while screwing piece in). Base is stable and height is good. Easy to attach most phones and the unit is easy to use. Closes down nice and compact

A few oddities
The tripod feels pretty sturdy and is stable. I like how it folds up into a cylinder shape which I imagine would make a comfortable selfie stick grip as well. It holds the phone in a strong spring-loaded grip. I used my iPhone 12 Pro. It was hard to get the grip open but it did not fall out even when I angled the phone down so the camera could be angled up. I don't know why the description says "1/4in screw mount fits most smartphones" since I don't know any phones that have screw mounts. This actually refers to the way the holder screws onto the tripod. The oddities: 1. The entire time my phone was in the mount the volume icon kept popping up, disappearing, popping up again, etc. I adjusted my volume all the way up (I'm taking videos) then I see it go all the way down again. This did not effect the volume on my recording but it was odd. 2. The battery case for the remote is made of the softest and plastic. Don't use any coin thinner than a nickel to unlock it and note - it unlocks clockwise. It was also difficult to close again and I couldn't get it closed all the way. 3. There are no instructions on how to connect to Bluetooth. My phone searched for other Bluetooth devices for quite some time and never found the remote. So suffice to say I will not be using the remote. So, if you are buying this for the remote feature I would advise against it. Otherwise it seems like it will work as a tripod or selfie stick.
