Great blackout tent with multiple uses

We love this product! It fits well over the pack 'n play with minimal setup required. (Although it took a minute to figure out how to set up the first time). It is nearly completely dark. We live in a hot & humid climate so it is a little stifling inside, but has a pocket for a fan and a variety of openings you can open or close. My 4 year old loves it as a play tent. It can be folded flat without taking it down completely and he is able to set it up by himself. I appreciate how thoughtful hiccapop products are. I feel like you can always tell what products are actually tested and used by parents. It is easy to setup, comes with a carrying case, pockets for a fan and baby monitor, and easy tiebacks. Definitely worth it!

Dream Cozy on the Go

Sleep is such a valuable thing with kids and makes all the difference, especially while traveling. As a mom of now two kiddos, I wondered how traveling with two would work to provide a sleepy space for the baby while life is still going on in a limited space. Having the Daydreamer Blackout Tent provides the perfect solution to having a nice cozy and dark space for little ones to rest. I really enjoyed the quick set up, and the nice quality of the material. I seem to struggle with almost zippers, but the zippers on the tent don’t get caught up and can zip up smoothly and quickly, making it pain free to open the two different heights sides of the tent. There are great venting spots that still offer darkness, but increased airflow. There’s also well thought of spots for both a camera and a fan, which are great for keeping an eye on the little one but still keeping it dark within the tent. I was surprised how dark it made it in the middle of the day from the inside and how it still remained breathable from the inside while testing it out. I think that it’s a great solution for travel and allows different options for sleep for little ones who need their own room or a dark room when not always having that on the go. The Daydreamer Blackout Tent is a great choice and I would highly recommend.

This is a great product and creates a perfectly dark area for our toddler to fall asleep! There’s even a pocket for a camera so we can still monitor her! When not in use for my toddler, my 4 and 6 year old use it as a tent - a perfect play tent! This brand has impressed us again! Very durable, high-quality material, easy to set up and sturdy as can be!

It was a little tricky to figure out at first but once I fully understood, it’s been easy to set up each time. My toddler needs a pretty dark room to fall asleep so this is perfect for trips but also fun to use at home for even my older (9yo) kid. I love how it has a zippered opening near the floor on one side and the other side has a zippered opening higher up for the pack and play. Plenty of air vents but still pretty dark inside. I couldn’t use my Wyze cam that I use as a baby monitor, I think it was too dark. Not sure about typical baby monitors.

works perfect as a sleep tent, we also put some led twinkle lights in and some glow and dark planets to make a little solar tent to read in, kiddo loves hanging out and enjoying the stars and books until bed time!. The interior has a lot of good spots for things like cameras, sound machines, lights etc. The fabric is high quality, it's easy to setup and take down. We were able to set it up the first time in under 5 minutes, took it down in less. We can't wait to travel with this on our weekend trips that usually destroy sleep routine! (I received this product at no cost as a product tester in exchange for an unbiased review.)

Pros: Love the compact design and it comes with a great storage bag. Fit perfectly over our Graco Pack N Play, definitely was larger than I expected it to be! A ton of pockets, doors and windows plus vents to help keep the temperature cooler inside. Fabric was nice and thick. My son can’t wait to turn this into his fort! Cons: Not 100% blackout in our space during the day when we need to use this for naptime. I had light sneaking in at the bottom and zipper seams. The directions were great/easy to follow but I personally struggled to muscle the poles into position. It went much smoother when I had my husband’s help so I didn’t feel like it was one person assembly friendly.

We have used previous products from this company and have always been pleased. This black out tent is so easy to assemble and disassemble. We actually timed ourselves at about 3 minutes. The ease of storage and returning this product to storage bag far exceeds previous brands we have tried. The fact that the poles snap on and you do not have to thread them is also a huge bonus. We found that this tent is VERY dark and maintains a good temperature as well, which is also not found in many other products. One plus we realized is that if we can leave it assemble and it folds flat for easy storage if we prefer. Having the ability to keep the camera on the little one with easy access is a must! Mother of five and Gram and Pop of four this will be used frequently for sleep, travel, and play! This company knows kids and the needs of parents as well as grandparents. Since we do not have kiddos 24/7 these easy storage items are a must for our home. Thank you Hiccapop for always meeting our needs. As a nurse I love to see safety in all your products as well. I frequently give your names out to clients and always buy baby shower gifts from you with good feedback on all fronts.

This daydreamer blackout tent is perfect for littles on the go, who sleep better in the dark—who doesn’t?! The material seems of great quality; it’s thick, comfortable, breathable fabric. Quick and easy setup (didn’t need the video instructions as the booklet was enough); although you can put this up alone, it’s easier with 2 people! It is truly blackout; as long as the shades are down, it’s completely dark—even with them up, it’s still very dark inside. I wish I had this with my other two as on travel, they struggled to sleep because it would be too bright in the rooms! It fits over pack n play nicely (I even have the changing table attachment on mine, and it fit fine). Love that there are pockets for fans/phones/cameras. It is kind of large, but no longer/wider than a pack n play. You can even use this as a tent for the bigger kiddos as it has an opening at the bottom. If needing to put this out of the way but not pack it up, you can push it flat; bonus is it packs up and stores nicely especially for travel!

Perfect! Comparison to Slumberpod

I’ve owned the Slumberpod for several years now and used it on various trips domestically and internationally for my daughter. I absolutely loved it for providing the blackout environment she was used to. In comparison, I’ve found the Hiccapop product to be even better. The packaging is a bit smaller, there are more air vents, and I find it a bit easier to put together. Also a huge bonus has been the added lower door. Loved all of my other products from Hiccapop and this is no different!

Must have item while traveling - DayDreamer Blackout Tent for Pack ’n Play

I received the Hiccapop DayDreamer Blackout Tent for Pack ’n Play a couple of days ago along with another Hiccapop item and just wanted to share my experience. I would consider myself a second time hiccapop customer, and just like the first time I am very happy with the quality of received items and the thoughtfulness that went into creating the received items and packaging. The package after the order was filled arrived the next day, which was great! The item was very well packaged and does come with a reusable good size travel bag (big enough to easily store all the parts without trying too hard to make them fit). The great thing about it is it stores the DayDreamer Blackout Tent for Pack ’n Play (fabric, rods and instructions), so everything stays together and is ready for the next adventure. Set up took me about 3 minutes, without rushing. The color coordination on the clips make set up super easy and the included instructions are very simple and easy to follow. Set up is recommend for two people, but as mentioned in the manual can be done with one person. When doing it alone, just be prepared that the rods before they are bend in arch form are a little harder to control in a small space and you might bump into the wall or furniture. The DayDreamer Blackout Tent for Pack ’n Play fits perfectly over a standard Pack N Play. Compared to some of the sleeves/blackout covers that are offered by others and fit over a Pack N Play like a glove, might be a good idea at first, but as the kid grows and outgrows the Pack ’n Play the item is useless and I would have to look into a new solution. Not so with the DayDreamer Blackout Tent for Pack ’n Play, this item provides years of usage, as it can be used over a Pack ’n Play as well as an Inflatable Toddler Travel Bed - if need be and how stretchy the fabric is I would even go as far as saying it can be used over a standard size crib (just won’t be a perfect fit). As mentioned the fabric is very stretchy and of good quality, so I have no doubt of it holding up well and I can totally understand why the company offers a Lifetime Warranty on their items. We have used a DayDreamer Blackout Tent for Pack ’n Play for several trips over the last couple years and due to our growing family we decided to get an additional one, as we just love the item so much and it makes traveling with kid/s so much easier. We don’t have to have the same bedtime as the kid/s anymore as it blocks out the light perfectly and makes sleeping in it very cozy and fun. The DayDreamer Blackout Tent for Pack ’n Play has several air vents and keeps the inside at a comfortable temperature level. It does have a pocket for a fan and even for a camera, so I really feel they thought of all of it. My first born loves sleeping in his tent and gets excited about it, and I just wish Hiccapop would make one for grown ups, because some of those rooms while traveling are way to bright. I/we definitely recommend this item!

The material is really thick and blocks out a ton of light but is still soft. Sets up quickly and easily with one person and it easy to take down as well. Sharing a hotel room with my baby has never been easier! I can just pop this up for her naps and still have lights on in the room. It's been great. Even in bright sunlight, this creates a great nap space. With direct sun on this shade, you can just barely see almost a sparkle on the inside of the fabric but the inside is impressively dark. Highly recommend!!

If you're thinking of purchasing this item, do it! You won't regret it. I am not one to typically assemble new products/items in my house but I was easily able to set this up in 2 minutes on my own. My toddler loves it and my daughter (9 yo) even loved the product and wanted to sleep in it. I own several Hiccapop items and the quality of this item is on par with the other items I have purchased. Overall, excellent purchase and company. They do truly stand behind their items.

Perfect black out tent!

I was looking for something to use while traveling so my baby wouldn’t wake up with the sun. I was so happy to see Hiccapop made a blackout tent because I’ve had wonderful experiences with their other products. It looks a little intimidating to assemble at first, but there’s a QR code on the package that links to a video of how to put it together. I was able to do it by myself in just a couple of minutes. A second person might make it a little easier, but it’s definitely not necessary. I put the tent together in the middle of my living room in the middle of the afternoon, so there was a lot of light and the tent blocked out most of it! It will definitely work in a hotel room or bedroom when traveling! And we will all be able to sleep in a little longer!! I got inside the tent with my two children and hung out in there for a while and I was pleasantly surprised with the air ventilation. It was spacious and dark in there! I am really exited to bring this with me on our next vacation. The included storage bag will fit in my suitcase easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really impressed with the quality of this tent. The fabric is soft, stretchy, and thick, and the two-way zippers on the access points and the tie ups on the air vents were really sturdy and easy to use (not like a camping tent). It provided a true blackout inside - even when the air vents were open! Easy set up (5 mins with a toddler 'helping') and take down. All the pieces fit *easily* in the storage bag that comes with it. There are two access points - one at the bottom and one mid-way up - so it is very versatile. The mid-way up zipper would be perfect to get a baby in/out of a pack-n-play easily and the bottom zipper lets it be used without the pack-n-play. (My older kids loved using it as a fort too! Love products that are multi-use.) Really excited to use this when we room share with the kids while traveling. (I received this product at no cost as a product tester in exchange for an unbiased review.)

Great Blackout Tent for travel!

This Hiccapop DayDreamer Blackout Tent is excellent for travel and thoughtfully designed. I was able to set it up under five minutes. I then tested it out with both the Hiccapop Infaltable Travel Bed and my largest pack-n-play/travel crib. Both fit under the DayDreamer Blackout Tent, with the tent stretching over the edges of both of them. My largest travel crib is the largest on the market and has a side zipper door/opening for my children to get in and out of the travel crib without me needing to lift them. The Blackout Tent fit great over it and would have even more room for a standard size pack-n-play or travel crib. I love that the DayDreamer Blackout Tent has a lower door/opening for older kids to climb in and out of the tent themselves. On the other side, opposite of the lower door/opening, the DayDreamer Blackout Tent also has a second zipper door/opening higher up so younger children can be lifted into the tent. I love having both options for different ages. This tent can truly grow with the child! The tent also has a slot for a baby monitor at the top and a velcro attachment to keep the baby monitor in place. This really helped keep the camera facing the correct direction. My camera was able to get a good, clear image. Finally, the tent has a slot for the fan. The fan slot is well positioned towards the ground, but raised just enough to blow on a sleeping child. There are plenty of air vents, though, that a fan is not always necessary. This slot would even be a great place for a sound machine when no fan is in use. The tent folds quickly and easily and I had no issues with take down. The bag is large and roomy enough to fit all the fabric and poles without fussing and stuffing. The fabric itself is sturdy, but is only about 90% darkening. This was not an issue for my children and I still found it to be dark enough for an afternoon nap with the lights on and windows opened on a sunny Florida day. The zippers are also good quality and extra fabric is sewn onto the inside of the tent so as to block light from coming through the zipper teeth. More light may be exposed if more air vents are opened. The set up, when done as described in the instructions, did require a lot of room. I’m hoping, as I get more familiar with setting it up, I’ll be able to figure out a way to minimize the amount of room needed to set up. The tent itself does not take up much room when set up (or packed away!) and was sturdy enough to allow my children, ages two through seven, to climb in and out without issue. I was also able to lift it up and put it over my pack-n-play/travel crib. Overall I highly recommend and can’t wait to take this on all our vacations!
