After the 4th time of this house falling apart I had to come read the reviews and leave one. I tried putting this together with my daughter and her friend- it was way more frustrating than fun. The problem is the icing does not dry. Total failure of a product. We make kits every year and never had a problem w any of the others.

Ugh
What a disappointment. I can't imagine trying to put this together with kids, the icing would not stick. Everything fell apart about three times.Thr icing bag popped and leaked from the side. The consistency just did not work to build the house. Very cute idea, but unless you plan on making your own icing, don't expect for it to turn out like the picture. It's midnight and I am determined to put this house together.

Arrived broken and in pieces. We attempted to "glue" the pieces back together with icing, but it didn't stay together. It was rather disappointing. My kid just ended up eating it. He said the flavor was good.

Frosting doesn't hold the pieces together and tastes nasty. The candies that come with are hard and full of artifical dyes, also taste nasty. The "gingerbread" is basically cardboard, wouldn't feed it to my dog. Wouldn't hold for more than 5 minutes. Do better.

Gongerbread houses
I bought these for my grandchildren to make during their Thanksgiving visit. There was an adult for each child. There was variation in the pieces of gingerbread and we were unable to get the houses to stand up. I was extremely disappointed with this product. We finally had to cut cardboard templates to build the houses. It was not fun for the kids or adults.

Roof too heavy
Start with gorilla glue. Make sure to let each step set for 15 minutes or more. The roof is really heavy and difficult to complete. The set of 4 mini houses was easier to assemble. Or get a pre-built house to decorate. These all collapsed before we could finish.

Decent kit but frosting is tricky
I bought a few these last year for cheap and kept in freezer for this year. I had low expectations. But none were cracked. The first house went up easily with no issues, the next two the frosting wouldn’t dry. It still made the process easier but I would make own frosting next time just in case or use hot glue

My advice is that you open up the box and look inside and make sure it's not broken before you buy it. My grandkids were so excited to do these, but it took us four broken boxes to finally find one not broken. Good luck!

Falls apart
They need to go back to the lab to work on the frosty. It does not keep the house together or they need to provide a base that is molded to keep the gingerbread house together. The frosty does not hold the house together. My son was very disappointed this is the second year this has happened with the same gingerbread house.

Waste of Money
Garbage gingerbread kit! Pieces wouldn’t stick together. We bought three kits for our kids and they are all just in a pile of pieces. My kiddos are super disappointed. Come on target!
