The Home Zone Living 13 Gallon Stainless Steel Kitchen Trash Can from the Virtuoso Collection is hands down the most thoughtfully designed, stylish, and functional trash can I’ve ever owned. First off, the design is beautiful — sleek matte black with clean lines that look high-end and blend in perfectly with modern interiors. The soft-close lid operates smoothly and silently, which is such a small luxury, but one you’ll appreciate every single day. No loud banging, no hassle — just a gentle close every time. What really impressed me is the removable interior base plate. It’s such a clever feature that keeps the trash bag in place and prevents it from sagging or sliding down. It’s also super easy to clean, and the bottom tray lifts right out for rinsing. This makes the whole trash process more hygienic and organized. The trash bags that came with the can were such a nice surprise — they smell amazing! They have a subtle clean scent that truly helps block unpleasant odors. Since I have three dogs and a busy household, this detail made a huge difference. Even after a full day, there’s no smell coming from the trash bin. I’ll definitely repurchase these bags separately — they’re that good. It’s actually a sleeker look in the kitchen as well. Easy to keep to clean even though it’s white. I like the design that the lids can be held up.

I’ve been using this for 2 weeks , no odors have weeped through. It’ holds a lot of trash which means , less trips to the garbage which is a plus ! A+

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was actually so excited to receive this trash can by Home Zone Living. It was all set up and ready to go right outside of the box. It also came with a set of trash bags. Adding the trash bag to the trash can was easy. The top of the can has a convenient outer rim that holds the trash bag in place, which I love. No more does the bag sink into the can. The foot pedal on the trash can is smooth and simple to use. The whole trash can itself locks in odor and has a very sturdy stainless steel design. Not only is it actually to clean, but it looks nice and is very aesthetically pleasing. I’m more than pleased with this trash can and know that I’ll continue to get so much use out of it.

My husband was super impressed by the look of it and how well it kept smells in. It has held up with wirh our 2 boys and we plan to get another one. A wet wipe cleans the front up quickly and looks great. Very impressed with this!

It is extremely sturdy and high quality. It functions well and I love the size, it is short but can hold so much. It looks so much nicer in person and has definitely been an upgrade in our kitchen.

I am currently using it in my salon space so the scented garbage bags do come in handy and since that i dont really need to throw it often until it gets truly full !

The garbage bags that came with it are sturdy and they have a nice smell to them as well. I priced the trash bags and they are very reasonable so I was happy about that.

We have 6 people in our home and we don’t have to change the bag as much as we use to. It’s a must have. I will be buying another for the laundry room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Home Zone Living 13-Gallon Step Pedal Trash Can has a quiet, slow-close lid that can fully open and lock at a 90° angle, which is helpful when replacing a liner or removing garbage. A collared rim fits around top of the liner, holding it snugly in place while in use. Other brand’s bags are compatible with the steel waste receptacle but would need to be a larger, 30-gallon size, in order to accommodate the wide, rectangular opening. The back is equipped with a place for fingers, making it slightly easier to tote the heavy piece (if need be). I would certainly recommend this sturdy kitchen product to others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a handsome utility piece- something I wouldn’t mind having out and displayed in a relevant area of my home. What I don’t like as much about it is it is not super easy to move around because the one handle area is on the back rather than the sides. Carrying from the back is awkward. The two ways to open the top is a cool idea but it isn’t obvious. The packaging caused this to stay closed and I needed to use goo gone for it to be fully functional.

Could not have been better timing since we are a big family and could always use another waste receptacle. Let me tell you this large can held up to a ton of kids and not one mark on the can. Not one hand print or smear of any type. Worth every penny!

The short wide style fits nicely under my countertop overhang, and the space under my countertop is just enough for the lid to open completely without interference. If you're careful about placing the trash bags, they are unseen which makes for a really sleek look. The silver stainless steel matte finish looks nice and neutral. The trash can is hands free with large foot pedal for easy operation, and soft, slow, quiet closure. Cons: This trash can takes special bags because of its unique shape. Because of the dimensions, standard trash bags don't fit. It came with 15 bags that are a perfect fit, but there's no way of purchasing additional bags at this time. Hopefully they're coming soon. The description recommends using a standard 30 gallon bag for this 13 gallon can, which seems a bit wasteful. A standard 13 gallon bag isn't wide enough to stretch over the can, and a standard 30 gallon bag fits the width, but there's a lot of extra unnecessary depth, so the bag would only be about half full when you take it out. The bags included are strongly scented, and I don't care for the floral scent. I would prefer a citrus scent or unscented. The bags seem high quality and durable though. The name "liner-free" is misleading. To me, liner- free implies that the trash candoesn't require a liner/ bag, but that is not the case. Invisible liner would be a more accurate description.

It's heavy to move around when the bag needs to be replaced and regular garbage bags won't fit because the trash can is too wide. Having a lid on top keeps the doors away and I like the option to be able to leave the lid open if needed.

The can has a space in the back for clean trash bags really convenient. This makes my kitchen look really clean. The foot pedal works with ease. It is more wide than tall, but that’s okay.
