While the air quality sensor is designed to detect particulate matter, certain gases and odors, like cigarette smoke, can sometimes be less detectable despite being present. We recommend adjusting the purifier to its highest fan setting manually, as this can improve odor removal. Additionally, if you haven’t already, enabling the UV-C feature may help with odor and airborne bacteria.

I have a small condo, upstairs unit and the downstairs neighbor cigarette smoke is coming in our condo. I have 6 air purifiers all on the highest settings and this unit DOES NOT REMOVE THE CIGARETTE SMOKE! It is extremely loud on the highest setting. This unit is new. I do not recommend buying this product.
