Q: Does it work by filtering between rooms even with the doors closed?

A: Thank you for your interest in Blueair. It's most efficient to run the air purifier with the door closed, as it can cleanse the air more effectively. However, with the door open, it will still clean the air but can take longer since new air is always being reintroduced through the open door.

The noise it makes on low is very quiet, and on high it sounds like a quiet fan which is pretty soothing to me. It does make the air chilly but I also enjoy that. The app that goes with it is super easy to use and I especially appreciate the sensor that tells you what particulate matters and level of allergens are in your space. My only complaint is the cloth pre-filter, while it’s a great idea, my cat just seems to think this is her new scratching post.

I LOVE the 311+ Max for my bedroom. After a month, there noticeably less dust. So, I decided to add a unit for the larger living space. I like it. I agree with Consumer Reports that it is a tad louder on highest setting (than the 311+ Max). And the fan settings do not quite as smoothly. However, it is a slightly more powerful machine for a larger space. Low speed is quiet. Auto works great, and both purifiers easily run on same App. Just be sure to use 2.4 GHz network. Best part is noticeably less dust with both machines.

I placed this air purifier in my living room area as it is very large, and have been using it for about a month now. It can clean airborne particles in as little as 12.5 minutes, and is super quiet. It has 3 sensors that automatically adjusts the fan speed to remove pollutants. There is an app that lets you customize different modes (including overnight) and set a schedule to save energy if not at home. I have noticed that my pollen allergy symptoms were less severe than normal. I also have 2 cats and it seems to handle pet dander too.

The air purifier is honestly okay like it doesn't do a whole lot for the house but is also kinda loud when it detects anything and startles me from time to time but also could be place better in my house.

I have seen my allergy symptoms reduce over the last couple of weeks of use and it has absolutely been wonderful. But you will have to find a place to put it and it’s kind of big.

Setup was quick and seamless, unboxing, downloading the app, and registering the product took just 5 minutes. Both the app and the purifier are extremely user friendly. It's such a sleek design and very well made. I have 2 cats that shed quite a bit, and this purifier has really helped keep the air feeling fresher and cleaner. I leave it running on a low speed all day and turn it up when I'm cooking. After a recent cooking mistake, it immediately detected the spike in air pollution from the smoke and responded quickly. I've also noticed a significant reduction in lingering cooking odors. I appreciated the noticeable improvement in air quality. Overall I'm extremely happy with this product and I'd recommend to all family and friends.

You can definitely hear it on most settings but on the lowest setting I would never notice it if I was trying to sleep. The app is so nice you can set times where you want it to be on/ off and it will tell you about the air in your space.

But I must say it does take odors out of the air almost instantly. Since hooking this up, I have seen a reduction of dust in my house, on my furniture, and on my hardwood floors. I live in Western Pennsylvania, and allergy season has started in early April this year and this has seriously been a God send. I have noticed me and my family sneezing less at home. I am really considering getting a blue air air purifier for my office. That’s how good this is. I really like the Wi-Fi connectability, and the timer. I also like the outside washable cover. I haven’t had to do that yet, but it’s good to know that the option is there. I have also looked into the replaceable filter filters. I am happy to say that the filters for the blue air are not as pricey as you would think. They are less expensive as my hunter air purifiers that I have. I was absolutely pleasantly surprised. All in all I very much appreciate Influenster for this. I have a rather Home, and the Blue Air 211i cleans my entire downstairs with no issues. Did I mention the timer? I love that feature. If you’re on the fence about this, please don’t be. You will not regret it. I’ve done some research and there are different sizes. So do your research and see what is the best size for your home. I will be purchasing another for mine.

WeI bought the Blueair filter because we like to think long term and air quality is as important as water purity. The filter does a wonderful job and is easy to use and to move as needed. I think the model we bought may be larger than needed. However, we'll keep it because it is so beneficial and we both have allegies as does our cat!
