Watery chilli, yuck!
Who decided watering down chili was a good idea?! It doesn't taste the same at all! We made chili dogs and it made the hot dog bun all watery. My husband said "yeah, guess I won't be eating Hormel's chilli anymore!" You lost us as customers.

Not bad, not good
Chili tasted fine, but I found what appeared to be a wiener dog in my can. Turns out that it was just a decent sized bean. 3 stars

Charging more for Less
This chili used to be a staple in our house but now it is more watery than ever. It's literally happened in just the last few months. It costs more than ever but it tastes worse than ever.

I will not be buying this chili again, the taste is no good
I ate this chili growing up and got some today and took one bite and spit it out because it taste nothing like chili. I t has a sweet taste and from my knowledge of chili it's supposed to be salty or spicy not full of sugar. Sorry new owner or new recipe. You need a different profession

I use to love this chili
The new recipe for chili is awful and I will not buy it any more. No one in my immediate or extended family likes it. I will make my own and freeze it. If you ever go back to the good recipe- I will try you again. Thanks for the opportunity to share.

Worst i've ever had.
opened can, put in sauce pan, was full of beans, hardly any sauce or meat. Didn't even taste like chili that i've had from this brand before. Very diappointed.

Horrible
The past few months I've brought the chili with beans large cans. Each can was majority liquid. Went to several store to buy them and all was the same, once you break past the solid on top the rest basically splash every where because of the liquid. I am on line looking to see if was a recall. Now the one store don't even have anymore so sure it's been a issue.

Not until taste is improved quality control is improved.
I unfortunately cannot recommend this product first can I just opened today, was almost pure liquid. Had to look for the beans. So I opened a second can and the second can was so packed with beans I had to take some of the sauce from the first can so he could eat it. And the flavor is totally different than The original recipe. Disappointing

A staple
I don't understand all the bad reviews. Just had a can and was as good as I remember from 30 years ago in college. Maybe QC is lacking but my can was top notch. I always add some extra chilli powder and cheese. yum!

I buy this brand and this brand only when I buy canned chili
I'm 71 years of age and I've been consuming Hormel chili with beans since before I was a teenager; it's the only brand mom ever bought. I also must say, I've never found a bad can of Hormel chili but everything is produced on an assembly line these days so a bad can is going to slip through now and then; it happens. So notify Hormel of the problem and I'm sure they'll make it right. The only complaint I have is the amount of servings in a 15 ounce can is missing on this web page. It's on the can but not found herein.

I was shocked. The chili with beans was so watery. I have never experienced this in the past. I have never used any other brand of canned chili. I am going to start trying all the other brands that are now on the store shelves.

Bean dip. But when I served it, my guest spooned out a long black hair. Needless to say I had to throw it out. I was very sad. It was a 25 oz. Can of chili with beans. I buy other Hormel products. Please make it better. Thanks Diane

Too much water to meet the weight requirements of the label
Your Chilly w/beans is to watery, should be labeled as "Soup". I have never written a review on consumables, but needed to comment on the way your product has experienced a downslide in quality. Another way companies are saving money by not only raising prices, but also adding water to a product that is sold by weight. Have experienced this with Tuna, Salmon and Chicken [both cans and pouches]. This is getting out of hand and consumers need to not purchase these over inflated products, until it hits you on your bottom line.

Almost no meat or beans but pure liquid! Not chili!
This can had mostly clear liquid in it with 5 entire beans & tiny particles of ground beef at the bottom of the can in a sauce, not chili. It smells & looked too bad to eat.

Much thinner that it used to be.
I have been eating the chili with beans for over 25 years. It has gone from great to okay. I am not sure when they changed the formula but it went from being thick so you had to use a spoon to get it out of the can to more like a soup that dumps out. I prefer it thicker. I now have to add a 1/3 can of red beans to each in order to enjoy it.

Hormel Chili is a staple in our pantry
It's perfect right out of the can. For more fun, add diced caramelized onions, green peppers, and mushrooms sauteed in butter. We also enjoy it served over toasted homemade bread with shredded cheddar melted on top.
