It's perfect right out of the can. For more fun, add diced caramelized onions, green peppers, and mushrooms sauteed in butter. We also enjoy it served over toasted homemade bread with shredded cheddar melted on top.

All Great, today was my first time to try it, full of flavor, not too hot and little salt taste. Good with rice or mashed potato.

I have always eaten your chili, it is my go to favorite when i am hungry and want something good and fast. We recently bought 5 cans of the chili with beans and after opening 3 of them to my dismay all 3 cans were extremely thin, watered down, more like chili soup. The product info on the bottom of the can reads; CWB 2 BEST BY AUG 2026---EST 199G TO(or TD, it is unclear) 80235 19:54. I hope that you are not changing to this diluted recipe. Please respond

Out of four cans I discarded three of them. When the cans were opened the contents seemed to be under pressure rather than vacuum, as normal. Different aroma..as well.

I have been buying this product for more than 2o years. In the last couple of months you guys have destroyed the product. Watery, runny no where close to the consistency. Not an improvement. While you may be saving money producing this you will lose in sales. No one wants this now. Really smart cost accountants and marketing geniuses will ruin you. This product sucks now.

Great as a meal in a pinch as long as you season to taste as with any prepared food. Anyone whining about the flavor simply needs to add seasoned salt n garlic n onion powder to taste. Not hard to do!! I love hormel as a base when I add seasoned hamburger, green peppers n onions! Competition quality chilli, hamburger helper in a can! My go to for a fast protein rich meal!

I used to use it on my hot dogs and my husband USED to eat it as a quick lunch - BUT - the last two cans we bought are like soup - all liquid - whatever you changed was a loser and unless it goes back to the quality product you used to sell, we're going to a competitor in the future!

Bean counters kicking the chili can down the road

Mot - 2 years ago
originally posted on http://www.hormelfoods.com

I have been eating Hormel Chili since over 50 years - our three kids now teenagers enjoyed it too until the last batch we bought. It seems bland to us and with a gravy like consistency. In addition the meat in the Turkey version is less solid. Occasionally, rarely though, the bean counters in companies, that is finance people sorry for the pun, will reverse course. Sales will eventually fall once consumers wise up but that will be someone else's problem as they kick the can - that problem - down the road (pun #2).
