A: The Houdini ice sphere tray makes four round spheres. Each sphere is approximately 3.4 ounces and 1.75" in diameter. Cheers!

Q: It says snap the top and bottom parts together. They don't snap together one just sits on the other. When filling with water one just floats. How do you snap them together

As others have said this product would have benefited from having clips on the ends because when you start filling the holes the top and bottom drift apart from each other. This even happens with a funnel. But if you figure that out you will have spheres of ice which is nice. My issue with it is the product has an odd smell that hasn’t gone away since I purchased it. I wouldn’t buy it again but it works in a pinch

I wish I had paid more attention to the size. I wanted a round ice cube mold with a cube large enough to fill a bourbon glass, but these are about half the size I was looking for. They’ll still work so I’ll keep them but not quite what I was looking for.

I used to have a really nice sphere ice tray. I bought two of these in the hope of getting another one. Unfortunately, these are not well designed. You see, the two sides just sit on each other. They don't clip together at all. So, while filling the sphere with water, the two pieces push apart. All of the water goes between the spheres, and you don't end up with anything resembling a sphere. Poor design; find a different brand.

If you review the photos attached, don’t judge the product, judge the user. I got these to make hot chocolate bombs (it works for that!!) and threw away the directions. When my whiskey drinking bf found them, we tried to make ice but had thrown out the directions. These were our first try and they still turned out great. We’re making batch 2 more carefully and I’m confident they will turn out great.

It doesn’t seal perfectly so the water keeps spilling out side ways and doesn’t fill up the whole sphere. Found another ice sphere tray for four dollars less at tjmax a day later that works better

If you’re wondering if these can be used to make hot chocolate bombs, yes they can! Just plug the holes in the mould with a bit of marshmallow before putting the chocolate in the mould. Also, make the chocolate thicker and the hardened chocolate will be easier to get out.

Learning curve with using them--they don't really "snap" together and there is always some leakage. BUT the thing I hate most is that (I'm assuming due to size) these ice cubes melt faster than any other shape I've tried, even in my insulated water bottle that keeps standard ice cubes intact for like 12 hours.

I don't know how people use these lol I bought them to make the hot chocolate bombs but found that the silicone was too think and wasn't pliable enough for me to turn them out (other people here seemed to do it just fine, so maybe just me lol). So the I decided to just use them for ice but even that was a struggle. The two pieces didn't stay together well, so water seeped out of the sides and made it impossible to form actual spheres. I got them to work out by putting something heavy on top (as recommended here by another reviewer), but if I had the chance to buy them again, I would go with something different.

Do not purchase these for ice. Look for thicker silicone ones that snap together. They are very flimsy so great for chocolate molds but terrible for holding water and making ice.

Not the best, not the worst. You do get reasonably spherical ice, though not exactly bar-quality. The mold isn't perfect so there are usually a few nubs. Also, if you think you're getting clear ice -- you're not, it still has impurities. Still, a good way to keep your whisky from diluting too fast...
