Bad handle design but holds the ice for days!

Let me start with the positive. This cooler kept our ice for two full days! Amazing! Not for the negative. The handle design is horrible. We used it only twice and returned it. The handle you lift to roll it lifts up and against a thin edge of plastic to stop how high the handle lifts...way too thin of a stopper. The cooler was only half full and cracked both of the stopper guards. This design should have a much thicker stopper plate to with stand the pressure of the upward handle when moving it loaded. Please change the handle design and this would be a top notch cooler!

The big black handle broke off on the first use, and I can't find a replacement. I had it stored away and on first use wasn't good, didn't even have the amount of cans it claims to hold.

RECALL INFO

ing date of an Igloo cooler, look for a circular imprint on the bottom of the cooler. An arrow within the circle will point to the month of manufacture, and the last two digits of the year will be printed in the center of the circle. This date code is only found on Igloo coolers manufactured before January 2024. The recalled coolers were manufactured prior to January 2024

I have an Igloo Latitude 90 that was manufactured in July of 2021. We use it about four days a year. I should have returned it after the first use, when I noticed how badly the wheels work, but I didn't. Yet my frustrations are such that I finally decided to write a review. Anyway, everything about the cooler works as advertised except the wheels. One wheel doesn't turn when it’s empty, the other doesn’t turn when it’s full. I fiddled with it, but no improvements. The wheels and axle mechanism are just too cheap for words.

Have only used once so far but love the depth of the cooler and there is very little space inside that is wasted. Seems well built.

Doesn’t stay latched

This will be the third time using this cooler and it does not stay shut. We brought it out for a camping trip and we’re needing to use a strap to keep the latch down. No, it’s not overfull . There is at least 2-3 inches of free space to the top of the cooler. We will need to stop somewhere on the way to our destination to buy a new cooler to keep our food cold for the weekend. The latches aren’t matching up so they instantly unlatch themselves, leaving us with no seal. We’re pretty bummed and feel like it was a complete waste of money.

Absolute garbage. Sure it has wheels and says it's rted to haul a load. The 2nd time I had a couple cases of soda and 20#s of ice the handle promptly broke off. Ig may keep things cold but don't expect to be able to use the rollers and handle as designed. IT WILL BREAK!

Not worth the money! One side of the handle broke first time I used it. Within the first month of owning it the whole handle snapped. As for holding ice, only holds it overnight with temps around 70 during the day and 50’s at night. Waste of money!!

Not good quality

This cooler succeeds in keeping things cold but the body design and quality of the plastic are poor. The handle to pull the cooler so you can roll it hits against thin plastic where it attaches to the cooler. On the second use with the cooler not being full the plastic cracked and snapped off. The screws that hold the hinges for the lid stripping out of the body of the cooler.

Our organization bought two of the 90 qt coolers last year for our food distributions. We regularly load up these coolers with heavy quarts of milk, frozen items, or eggs, and so far everything is holding up well! The ONLY complaint we have is that almost everyone intuitively goes for the small handle to pull the cooler (which is on the same side as the wheels) and they start dragging the cooler across the floor. I have to show the volunteers that there's a large handle on the opposite side to use the wheels. I think this is proof that a redesign is in order. Otherwise, we love the fact that the cooler is made with recycled materials and this was the main factor in choosing this cooler over others.

I bought this three months ago and the handle can not take the weight of ice and bottle water. Handle broke off where it is attached to cooler. Will not buy this again. Upside the cooler did keep drinks cold.

Priced pretty well, very sturdy, keeps things cool and I love the color and the fact that it is more eco-friendly. Plus, wheels make it very easy for moving around. Definitely recommend!

Love that it’s recycled plastic. It’s effective for the price. Holds ice well if you leave the lid mostly closed. Lots of room and east to pull. Love that I can put my large Yeti in the cup holder. Media slot is a nice idea but I wonder why it’s there instead of something else.
