Q: Does this seat rock on its own? I can't find any information or videos yet
submitted by gabrielle - 3 years ago
A: Thank you for the question! The product is not an automatic rocking seat and requires manual motion when the kickstand is lifted and locked into place.

I LOVE this rocker! Only problem is, the toy bar is missing and I don’t know how to go about getting one. that’s the only reason I’m not giving full amount of stars. If I had received that piece, it would have 5 stars no doubt.

I usually don't leave reviews, but I'm so glad I bought this that I figured I should. I bought this for my two month old daughter to sit in while I pump and do other things around the house and she loves it! We also have a swing that she enjoys, but this is so easy to carry around the house and she loves the vibrations! I would definitely recommend this to others!
Great rocker!

Was a little iffy on buying this rocker as it had such mixed reviews but I love it, it does everything I need it to do and my baby is content in it. I saw several reviews saying the straps are too short for their small baby but my baby is 12 pounds and I have not yet had an issue with straps and he has much room to grow in it. It is very light so I am able to move it around as I move it in and outside as needed.
Pretty cruddy design, looks nice

Don’t fall for the “ingenuity” brand. This thing is made with zero ingenuity. For a product made for babies who are notorious for spilling and poonamis, the removing of this seat cover to clean its “plush fabric” is a joke with zero forethought by the designers. Adjusting the straps won’t happen either. Total waste of materials. Makes me sad seeing this kind of ineptitude.
How to get child jn there!???

The straps seem way too small and the overhead toy does not click in - this item seems like junk. Can someone from Ingenuity please help!?!?
Okay, but unimpressed.

We like the style and bought the matching swing as well, but are less than impressed with how much less sturdy it seems than other bigger brands we’ve used. It’ll do the job.
Straps too small and impossible to adjust

Too bad we received this as a gift and can’t return it. I would rather return and get a different brand. The straps are way too small and tight on my small 10lb baby. Even when he was a newborn at 6lbs, the straps were impossible to adjust to the lower level and it became too tight. We waited for him to get a little bigger to try it again and now the straps won’t even reach to buckle. Also, the locking mechanisms are not very sturdy. We put it away and tried to reassemble to try it again and one of the mechanisms broke. Save your money and space and purchase something better. I tried contacting the manufacturer today, we will see how helpful they are......

Was super excited to try this with my new baby, however it required adjusting the straps that hold the baby in the seat. This is next to impossible due to the design of the straps and plastic adjusters and clips. It's very, very, very, very difficult to undo the stars to readjust them. Been at it for an hour and still haven't been able to undo the from the plastic buckle used to adjust the strap length. It's one of those products where it's very event that the people designing the products don't test or use them, themselves.

My son has reflux and I searched everywhere for a chair like this. Finally finding this at Buy Buy Baby an hour from my home I was excited and my son loved the chair and slept great! After 3 days the motor of the vibration seat died. I called the manufacturer and was told it would take 3-5 weeks for a replacement part. I took the chair back to the store and luckily they had one left in stock. After 24 hours with our new chair the motor went again! The chair is ran on batteries- all music worked, you can hear the motor trying to work and it does not. I changed the batteries and still nothing. I called the manufacturer again and once again was told there was nothing they could do other than order me a replacement part and wait for it to arrive in 3-5 weeks. So unfortunately I will drive another 2 hours to the store to get a full refund and begin my search for another chair that my reflux baby can sleep in.

I've owned this seat for 5 months and the fabric is tearing, the seat seams are coming loose and the fabric is all pilled just from my daughter sitting in it. I typically LOVE the ingenuity products but the fabric on this one makes this product non recommebdable for me.

Very disappointed. Should have read the reviews first. The mobile piece falls off easily, and absolutely none of the sound features work. It’s not easy to rock back and forth and the straps are very stubborn. Many people said the vibration motor breaks after first couple uses so I am just waiting until that happens to ours (it’s the only feature on this product that does work). So disappointing, seems this was made for fashion rather than function.

looks good. grandson loves it. only prob;em is the arm holding the mobile is so short, no matter what angle the seat is set at, that the mobiles are too far up forcing him to lift his head (too young yet) or roll his eyes right up to see the mobile. an extension is needed, or a longer arm.

i Was so excited about this rocker. I even bought the playpen/bassinet to match. My son came early so he was small and yet at almost 7lbs the straps are too tight. How does that make sense? he’s newborn weight finally and it’s too small. So I basically have this as a pretty piece of furniture because I cannot use it. Very disappointed.

I love everything about this thing except the fact that the swing broke within two months of having it mind you my newborn is 7-10 pounds the most when it broke! I unscrewed it and the wheels were broken/ missing?! I couldn’t believe it! In shock that they would sell this to someone like that.
