There are huge empty spaces in front of and behind rails, so hanging files are constantly falling down with nothing to hold them in place. Additionally, the clasp broke almost immediately. Do not buy.

Clear version has handle components that will degrade

Not in the product description, but the handle in the clear version is not hard plastic. It's that soft TPE texture that will degrade if handled enough, particularly in the tropical climate where I live. I would not recommend the clear one and it's a shame they didnt include it in the product description, or else I would have chose the black one. The black one appears to not have the material on the handle that degrades, based on the pictures. Also these are way overpriced for what they are. I have similar Sterilite file containers from 10+ years ago that are still going strong through multiple moves with high heat and humidity climates.

These are so much better than the type with either the handle on the lid or those that have supply storage built into the lid. That are more sleek and convenient in design, allowing to stack or slide nicely into a nook beside each other. While it could do with some slight improvements to hinges (some are better than others and seem more of a quality control issue), these are far more sturdy than any I have tried. I highly recommend. If you’re used to the supply case the lid, I would suggest a slim pencil case slipped in with the files as this box travels far better than that type.

You can't get too many strings in and the plastic is thin. We were only able to put 3 dividers in each box so we needed to get more. Will be interesting to see next fall if they are tangled or not on the dividers.

Somehow when I take them out next season, they are in a big tangled mess! I don't know how it happens! These bins are a great way to store the lights without them getting all tangled up!!! I can fit a lot in there too. I was able to fit 4 strands of 100 count lights on only one of the plastic things. I still had 3 slots in the same bin to go!!! I was very surprised! I can't wait to see the ease of decorating next year!!!

I have been using card board to wrap my Christmas lights around and then stacking them in a tub. These storage boxes are amazing. The hanging feature is what makes them so amazing. I can now store my lights in a very organized way that keeps them from breaking or tangling.

With our number of lights, we could have easily gotten by with one bin rather than 3. We will be using the other 2 for storing other Christmas items (so I love that the light wraps are removable). But for someone who puts outdoor lights up, I'm sure the whole set would go to good use storing just lights. We don't currently have outdoor lights so our needs are much smaller at this time.

The second box I used another light wrap for some eyelash ribbon and filled the rest of the box with soft ornaments. My third box was broken I am going to try and fix it the best I can with glue and put a few things in it.

I only put Christmas lights on my tree, so one container fit my lights needs. I noticed that if you want to use all four light wraps that you need smaller strands of lights. I was able to fit two light wraps of 300 bulb strands and two light wraps of 100 bulb strands, but I don't think anymore than that would have been able to fit. The other two boxes fit all of my ornaments and decorations. These are such a great fit in my storage closet, I used to use one big tub, but it was awkward in the closet and took up way too much space, these fit nice and neatly and gave me more room to work with in the closet. The containers are sturdy and I love the wing-lid so you don't have to worry about where you put the lid. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I was unhappy upon opening to box to find that one of the storage containers was broken across the top edge as well as one of the red lids. These are obviously not very sturdy & I don't think they'll have much longevity for storage.
