A: Technically not antibacterial. Though, the US FDA found 0 evidence of antibacterial soaps better at preventing illness than plain soap and water. Antibac soap can actually be worse long term.

A: Our Ivory Gentle Bar Soap Original has the original scent. In the beauty care industry, we use two specific terms to help consumers find the right products to use, unscented and fragrance-free. Unscented products may contain a light scent to mask the natural odor of the ingredients in the formula. These ingredients do not have a pleasant smell, which is why it's necessary to add a very small amount of light fragrance to make the product more enjoyable to use. Fragrance-free products do not contain any added fragrance.

Q: The ten bar package I have at home shows 4X MORE/PLUS in the upper left. But in the store I saw a pack of fewer bars with 2.5X and another, I think with 3 or 3.5 X. Explain this on the package!

A: For our Ivory Original Bar Soap 10pk we offer 3.17 ox bars and 4.0 oz bars. The package that states 4X MORE are our 4.0 oz bars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i’m not really a bar soap person, so trying this ivory bar was definitely out of my comfort zone. the scent is super light and clean, which i did like, and it lathers better than i expected. but i still wasn’t loving the whole bar soap experience— the texture, the mess, and the way it feels compared to liquid body wash just isn’t my thing. and tbh i feel like it left my skin kinda dry. if you already like bar soap then you’ll probably have a better time than i did.

Squeaky clean with a touch of fragrance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So first thing I noticed was the wrapping around the bar itself was very easy to rip and unravel but it was so easy that if it got wet im pretty sure the soap would come through the package so if traveling I suggest wrapping the bar in a plastic bag or container. Next the bar itself had a smell that wasnt so intense when dry, however when it got wet and out on my body that was all I could smell and it just intensified. Now I didnt mind it at all. And I thought it smelled really good! The next thing I noticed was this made the term squeaky clean a real thing. I am used to most washes living a smooth film on my body but this had me feeling as if my body would squeak from rinsing off! It really does clean your body! It does what it is supposed to do and very well!

Classic ivory, always tried and true

It lathers and washes well, no scent, but it’s pretty drying so I follow up with a body conditioner cream or butter. I enjoy the scent-free as I can use with other scented products. Great value for the money
