A: Technically not antibacterial. Though, the US FDA found 0 evidence of antibacterial soaps better at preventing illness than plain soap and water. Antibac soap can actually be worse long term.

Q: Does this Ivory have ANY kind of fragrance? Long ago, it came that way, but it's harder and harder to find any unscented or fragrance-free beauty products.

A: Our Ivory Gentle Bar Soap Original has the original scent. In the beauty care industry, we use two specific terms to help consumers find the right products to use, unscented and fragrance-free. Unscented products may contain a light scent to mask the natural odor of the ingredients in the formula. These ingredients do not have a pleasant smell, which is why it's necessary to add a very small amount of light fragrance to make the product more enjoyable to use. Fragrance-free products do not contain any added fragrance.

Q: The ten bar package I have at home shows 4X MORE/PLUS in the upper left. But in the store I saw a pack of fewer bars with 2.5X and another, I think with 3 or 3.5 X. Explain this on the package!

A: For our Ivory Original Bar Soap 10pk we offer 3.17 ox bars and 4.0 oz bars. The package that states 4X MORE are our 4.0 oz bars.

Not for Dry sensitive skin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this classic soap, but I had to give it two tries for a fair assessment. First of all this soap smells amazing but with my current dry, weather-changed skin, my first use left me feeling quite itchy! 21 tried again, hoping the reaction was a fluke, and while the second use was slightly milder I still experienced r some residual irritation. Ultimately, this soap is simply too drying for my specific needs right now. It wasn't the right fit for my sensitive skin this season! It might be great for others, but be aware if you're dealing with extreme dryness.

THE best soap
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No exaggeration, I have been using Ivory soap since I was a toddler. I have sensitive skin, that easily gets irritated. My grandmother used this soap on me as a child because it was the only one to not upset my skin. It is gentle, yet deep cleans. It is plant based and free of all the bad things you don’t need. I continue to use it today because you don’t fix what’s not broken!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Ivory Gentle Bar Soap Original smells so fresh. I love that it doesn't make my skin feel dry like many other bar soaps. It has a fresh and clean smell good for everyone in the family to use. It is gentle on the skin and could also be used to wash your hands or in the shower as a body bar. It lathers and suds up very well with just a little bit of water. I love using it in a bar bag for easy exfoliation and somewhere to hang it. I would definitely get it again and recommend it to friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First things first, packaging. All 12 bars are in visually wrapped within the main packaging and are easy to open. The scent of the soap is very fresh and didn’t leave an overpowering smell on my skin. The bar lathers nicely and rinses off of the skin well. I never felt like any residual soap was left on my skin or that it was hard to get off. I can have sensitive skin at times and I never had an issue with this product. The packaging does state that this soap is for ages 3 years and above! I love that it is free of parabens and phthalates, is not tested on animals, and dermatologist tested.
