A: Take note of the key phrase "some rust-resistance". They rust VERY quickly and are very poorly made.

The "18" refers to the chromium content, which gives flatware its rust-resistance properties, and the "8" or "10" refers to the nickel content, which gives it its silver-like shine and some rust-resistance. Product started to rust after 2 weeks of normal use/2 dishwasher cycles. i should of read the other reviews prior to purchasing this set.

Modern and still looks beautiful 4 yrs in
Beautiful and modern, we have been using this set full time in our home and our rental property since 2021 and it looks brand new. We wash it every night in the dishwasher and still looks great. If you like clean lines but need practical and high function this is a great set!

They've stood the test of time!
Came back to buy another set of these after having mine for a couple years. Surprised to see all the reviews saying these rust easily. I am a messy person and treat these things with no care - absolutely no rust or deteriorating at all! Maybe the dishwashers I’ve had have all been super good..

Hi Ash, we are sorry to hear of the problem you are having with our flatware. Occasionally discoloration or rust may appear on flatware, which could be caused by oxidation, which occurs when the flatware is left in a moist environment such as the dishwasher or left to drip dry. We recommend using the heat cycle for drying when washing your flatware in the dishwasher as opposed to using the air-dry cycle. Once the dishwasher has finished running, we advise to remove your flatware promptly. When washing by hand, use hot, soapy water, rinse and dry immediately with a soft cloth. If you notice an occasional rust spot use a stainless cleaner such as Soft Scrub or Bon Ami, which you can purchase at your local supermarket. Sturdy, but a little rust
I picked these out a few years ago to start prepping a kitchen set for when I bought a house. I never opened them and they were stored in a container with other utensils and kitchen items. Fresh out of the box, a few of the big forks were already scratched and had rust on them. Love the rest of the set, but it was really disappointing considering how expensive they are.

Rusted within a week of purchasing
I thought this was a beautiful silverware set and was excited for a kitchen re-fresh. Had my previous silverware for almost 6 years and was missing several pieces due to kids loosing them - how does this even happen!?! But let me tell you, not one piece had rusted in those 6 years. Very disappointing as this was not a cheap set and thought it would be a quality product. Save your money and don’t buy these! Will be returning ASAP!

I love this set. I bought it two years ago and they are still great. Nice heavy weight and beautiful. I wish I could buy just a few spoon and fork replacements bc my kids must throw them away on accident. Only the little ones disappear smh.

There's better options
They're okay. They can rust if you don't dry them off right or if you let them sink, but BKF can polish that off. Mostly I didn't like some of the imperfections on the ends of the silverware. They were dinked or damaged brand new.

Bad quality
These started rusting right away and the finished seal came off. I wish I could return these. They are poor quality and I don't know why target is still selling them.

Great set! So far I’m a fan and already received a compliment on them lol. I will say the large forks and spoons don’t fit into the slots in my dishwasher caddy very easily, but not a big deal. Plan on buying an additional set for 4 people, for hosting friends and family!

Not what was advertised
I really liked the way this set looked and bought it in the store. However, when I opened the box at home there were 15 large soup spoons and only the one small that you see in the front of the box instead of the 8 pieces of each that are advertised. I thought maybe it was just a defective set and went back to get another but it had the same issue. Very disappointed.

I’ve had this set for 4-5 years (washed in dishwasher) and love it. I actually bought a set this weekend for my mom. 10/10 couldn’t recommend enough. Feels great in your hand, perfect amount of settings, and serving pieces are a great addition. Be careful with the knives, they are actually quite sharp. I had one small bit of rust on one handle but it was completely my fault for how I handled that piece. I used a tiny bit of bar keepers friend and scrubbed it. It came off and I’ve had no issues with that piece since.
