A: Do not give your dog this bone. It splinters during chewing. $1300 in vet bills so far and our dog still is not recovered.

I think people need to be mindful of their pups strength. I don’t give this to my German shepherd because I know he will shred it and ingest it within seconds. However, my 7lb chihuahua mix has ZERO issues. He loves it. I buy him one about every 2 weeks. He’s had about 10 in his lifetime. HOWEVER, after seeing the live bugs in the packaging, I will no longer be purchasing.

I wouldn’t even give one star! This bone caused my family’s dog to go to the emergency vet and now we have a bill over 10,000 because it was stuck in his intestines and he could not pass it. Why with all these bad reviews is target still selling this item!? Such bad business ethics and totally negligent customer service. I wish I saw these reviews before!

This $4 bone for my dogs 9th bday cost me $12000 and almost my dogs life. I don’t understand after seeing all these reviews why target still sells this item. I got it in store without seeing reviews. Thinking the bone was so large there’s no way my dog can accident ingest this. He was in the kitchen with us and moments later we realized the bone was breaking apart! At this point we distracted him and took the bone away. We kept an eye on him until hours later he was lethargic vomiting undigested food. His regular vet could not see him in this condition so we had to find an emergency vet. Sure enough bone fragments were found his digestive system but one piece was not dissolving and now he’s having stomach surgery. I never give my dog small bones raw hide for this reason. Can’t believe I felt a pet company and target would sell a trusted product. Never again.

Horrible bone. Broke into peices before I knew it. My dog ate a large part of it and I'm terrified she's going to end up with a blockage. So upset with myself for not reading reviews before giving it. This shouldn't be in stores.

Do not purchase these bones. We bought 2 and they splintered easily. Seems both dogs ate some of the shards and one ended up in the ER due to vomiting blood. Bone fragments were found in his bowel & thankfully they seem to be passing through but it was a $700 vet visit and very scary situation. The other dog has been vomiting up bone fragments but seems ok so we’re monitoring him closely. In seeing all the negative reviews I’m surprised this item is still being sold.

Someone had purchased this bone for my dog. Checked on him 30 mins later and the entire bone had been eaten (as it fell into fragments easily). Now I have to monitor him for any possible obstruction/perforation. I’ve never had this happen with a large bone before. Really hoping this doesn’t result in a major Vet visit- this really has the potential to harm or even kill my dog. Target needs to have this removed. I wish I would’ve been more observant to what kind of bone this was - as I would’ve never purchased based on the reviews.
