The water bottle companies do change shapes and sizes so we always advise to take a water bottle with you or buy them together in a store so that you know they are comparable. Last year I had a Jansport and it was great! It had plenty of room, durable, and super cute! This year I'm getting a Jansport and when looking online every bag is so awesome, from super cute designs to great internal organization. I got this backpack for school because I liked the design. Within two weeks, one of the shoulder straps fell off. I thought maybe it was a fluke and got another one, but that one is totally ripped apart on the inside just from my folders and ringed notebook, something I have never experienced with other backpacks. The padding in the shoulder straps completely wore down as well, and the leather on the bottom is cracked and peeling. The "computer sleeve" is just a plastic pocket, no padding in sight, totally uncomfortable for my back and unsafe for the computer. I am NOT making this mistake a third time.

Side bottle pocket ripped in less than a year of use. Front pocket’s zipper stopped working after minimal use. When Jansport was contacted for warranty repair, they refused it and gave me 20% coupon(which will never be used. No more Jansport for my family) Last school year, I bought 2 Jansport backpacks for kids and both backpacks had similar issues. Spending $100 on backpack for less than 1 year of use is expensive and wasteful. Do better, Jansport.
