Great Soundbar with wireless surround speakers
I tied the new JBL Bar 1000MK2 on my 65" TV, the speaker bar is huge and makes it feels like as if it is made for the 65" or more screen size. Aesthetically it looks good with its minimum user input buttons. the under screen display hides nicely behind the speaker grill to give it a minimal look. Now, coming to the sound output, I have connected my TV to the soundbar via HDMI -eARC input. I use this specifically for minimum sound latency, as I was fed up with the Bluetooth sound delay. The soundbar is very loud and clear when it comes to music and 2.1 sound stage. The Subwoofer produced a very good bass response; it managed to rumble my windows, but I felt that the subwoofer output was not very tight but more booming effect. As this speaker has detachable surround sound, I tried that. You have to mandatory calibrate the speakers so that the soundbar can estimate the surround speaker placement. I felt that the surround speakers struggle with the volume output, JBL has not provided individual speaker volume control in the app, I hope this is something JBL will provide in the future. In surround mode, I struggled to hear the dialogues, had to crank up the volume to actually hear what the person spoke on television, but doing that, the subwoofer increases its output, so do the other speakers; this spoils the sound stage in my opinion. As a final verdict, it’s a good surround speaker, but it may not be the perfect soundbar.

Wow Product! Highly Recommended!
The JBL Bar 1000MK2 is one of those soundbars that really makes you go “wow” the first time you use it. The sound is powerful, clear, and totally fills the room — you can actually feel the bass from the big wireless subwoofer. What I love most is the detachable rear speakers. You just pop them off, place them behind you, and suddenly you’ve got proper surround sound like in the cinema. When you’re done, you can even use them as little Bluetooth speakers in another room — super handy! Setup is quick and simple, and the JBL app makes it easy to fine-tune the sound to your room. Movies sound incredible, with explosions, voices, and background music all perfectly balanced. Music sounds great too, though if you’re really picky about tiny details, it might not be quite “audiophile” level. Overall, it’s a fantastic choice if you want cinema-quality sound at home without the mess of wires or a complicated AV system. It’s fun, easy to use, and honestly turns movie nights into a real experience.

The Ultimate Home Theater Upgrade
I recently upgraded from a smaller BAR, and this soundbar has completely changed movie nights for me. The bass from the added woofer makes the whole room shake, and it’s the first time a soundbar has genuinely felt cinematic. The detachable speakers are the magic trick. Just pop them off the bar and place them around your room, giving the feeling of a real theatre, especially with Dolby Atmos supported out of the box. What surprised me most is how flexible this system is. When the kids are asleep, Night Listening lets me move both wireless speakers closer and shuts off the main bar and sub, so I still get clear sound without disturbing anyone. Setup felt straightforward and thoughtful. The detachable speakers are rechargeable and can be placed almost anywhere, plus the system offers a plethora of connectivity options: multiple HDMI ports including eARC, Optical, LAN, and Wi‑Fi casting. If you want big, room-shaking impact for action films one moment and a quiet, close-up session the next, this bar nails both.

Great product love it
I own this for couple of weeks now I can say that sound is very clear. Subwoofer is definitely worth having this strength you can really feel the difference, music and movies so clear. Having slight issues with remote that only can turn on when remote is directly pointed to soundbar. But once is on and connect you can use your tv remote. Side bar can be removed and placed behind sofa. Like the slim design as soundbar can go under the tv directly . Noticed one side bar won’t click in properly. Other wise all very good.

Excellent sound, easy surround and simple to use
I've had this a couple of weeks now, and I'm really pleased with how high quality it is. TV audio is easy to discern voices and speech, while the added oomph from the subwoofer is excellent. It's a large setup, but as long as you're aware of what you're getting then it's excellent. I've enjoyed being able to use the surround element, particularly as it's been possible to fit without me having to faff around with wiring and cabling something in like a lot of set ups. Really good product, I'm pleased with it.

Good but not great.
For the last couple of days I'm the owner of JBL 1000mk2 Soundbar. I had huge expectations before receiving it for testing and now, few days later, I'm quite disappointed. Not fully but I had imagined that Soundbar to be a full stage home Cinema in my living room. But it's not. The look of Soundbar itself it's fine, straight lines, nothing exciting. With surround speakers it's quite wide, almost the length of my 55" tv. Subwoofer box is the biggest part of the set bu It has to be to deliver what is delivering, deep, loud, pure and ground shaking bass, that's it. You can feel it but can't point where it's coming from, that's the way it should sound. Big plus for that. In my opinion Soundbar sound is more like centre speaker of the home Cinema instead of stage like sound creating device. I don't hear that theater imitation coming from top or sides when listening to it , that's why I'm disappointed. Even when surround speakers are at the back of my listening area I can barely hear them. That makes the set like very good tv speakers with deep base. Overall sound it's really good. High tones are crispy, middle not getting lost in deep base. All together seems to work fine, but not perfect. Disconnecting surround speakers is dead easy, they are magnetic pulled to the main unit so fitting them back is flowless. Even when fitted behind the sofa they look nice but not loud enough, that's the reason the sound stage is not complete. There is variety of connections , few HDMIs including arc , wired internet and optical connection. With wirelessly connection I'm mostly use Bluetooth which work great. Above that you can use Airplay or Spotify. Materials made from are very good quality, all bits are heavy and feels like unbreakable. I'm used to floor standing speakers and proper amplifier hence my opinion is based on higher level of sound stage quality. Overall it's amazing upgrade for the tv fitted speakers but, for my disappointment, I wouldn't buy them for this price.

Mam 35 lat, dzieciaki biegają po domu, a wieczorami, kiedy już wszyscy śpią, lubię usiąść i obejrzeć coś porządnego najlepiej z dobrym dźwiękiem. Do tej pory miałem zwykły soundbar, ale po przesiadce na Jbl Bar 1000mk2 różnica jest kolosalna. Na plus: Dźwięk przestrzenny odłączane tylne głośniki działają rewelacyjnie. Zero kabli, a efekt surround naprawdę robi robotę, zwłaszcza przy filmach akcji i grach. Bas subwoofer potrafi zejść nisko i dać po uszach, ale nie dudni, tylko naprawdę "czuć" go w klatce piersiowej. Idealny jako kino domowe. Łatwość obsługi podłączenie pod TV (HDMI eARC), aplikacja JBL One – wszystko intuicyjne. Nie trzeba być technologicznym freakiem, żeby to ogarnąć. Na minus: Cena trochę boli, ale z drugiej strony to sprzęt klasy premium, więc coś za coś. Brakuje może trochę bardziej zaawansowanej kalibracji pod akustykę pomieszczenia (coś jak Dirac), ale da się to obejść. Podsumowując jeśli szukasz konkretnego dźwięku do filmów, gier i muzyki, a nie chcesz bawić się w budowanie zestawu kina domowego z amplitunerem i kolumnami, to Jbl Bar 1000mk2 to świetny wybór. U mnie zostaje na dłużej.

Powerful Audio with Minor Practical Issues
I’ve tested the JBL BAR 1000MK2 for about a week. Starting with the packaging—it’s neat, compact, and protects the soundbar well. Installation was very easy and straightforward: just one power cable and one HDMI cable for the soundbar, plus a power cable for the subwoofer. It fits perfectly in length with my 55-inch TV, giving a great overall look. I performed the audio calibration via the app, and after three attempts, I managed to complete it. To get the 7.1.4 effect, you need to detach the side speakers, place them behind the sofa, and attach the side covers to maintain the design—a neat idea, but not very practical for everyday use. The sound is exceptional, with deep and clean bass. However, I wasn’t able to fully appreciate the Atmos effect. Considering the price, I expected a bit more, although it remains a high-quality product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently upgraded our soundbar, and I can't be happier. The JBL 1000 MK2 was such a great choice! The sound quality is in another world. First, the subwoofer it makes you feel like you are right in the action. I placed it under the end table next to the sofa, and you feel like you are right in the theater. The detachable surround sound speakers are perfect for our small living room. We can place them on the window ledge, then return to the soundbar to recharge. And of course the sound quality. Even the smallest background sounds stand out more. And that is even more evident when I was using the soundbar to play music off of my phone. It definitely provides enough power to rock the house!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This JBL Bar 1000MK2 sound system is no joke if you want to seriously upgrade from your TV's built-in speakers, which (in my opinion) never gives you the full sound immersion from content/program you're watching, pretty much weak & AM radio-like audibles. The design is very attractive & techy - I can only imagine all the speakers & tech inside the soundbar that fills my living room with incredible sound, along with the subwoofer that gives action/sci-fi scenes a satisfying rumbling punch! The ends of the soundbar do detach so you can place these surround sound speakers behind or to your side for amplified surround sound effects, which is pretty much what makes this system amazing, like you're sitting inside a Dolby movie theater... just need some popcorn🍿! The remote is simple & minimalist, easy to use. The companion app I'll have to spend more time on to really get the most out of this sound system & its customizations for my final overall sound preference. There's a bluetooth option so you can stream from your cell phone, tablet, laptop, or whatever else bluetooth source - shweet! You don't have to be super tech-savvy to unbox, assemble, & get this to work, just some patience & curiosity of where everything goes like the hdmi cables & electric cords, along with some tweaking your TV's menu options to make that final TV to sound system connection. Included are mounting hardware, which I won't be using. Overall, a fantastic product that has truly brought my TV to life, as I will now enjoy some of my fave movies so that I can hear details that I may have missed from previous viewings. I'm afraid I'll be a couch potato more often than not, thank you JBL! 📺🎬👍😍

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This JBL sound bar system blew me away. The setup was simple and straight forward. We already had an Optical audio cable running sound to another soundbar, so there was no need for me to struggle to get that plugged into our tv. If you have used an Optical audio connection then you know the struggle that I was able to avoid! After the Optical connection was made the only other cords involved were connecting the power. We set this up on father's day so my wife took over the rest of the setup process. She was able to easily download the JBL app and connect to the sound bar via bluetooth. We had to perform a software update to the speaker which took the most time out of the whole process. Once the software update was done it was time to disconnect the two wireless end speakers from the main unit. We placed the speakers in two different locations allowing the system to calibrate. JBL supplies end caps for the sound bar and end speakers that cover the charging connections and leave you with a clean look. We placed the end speakers on the end tables next to our couch. We put on a movie and enjoyed. The subwoofer was the icing on the cake. This system provided a rich sound that filled the room. The soundbar alerted us when the batteries on the end speakers were low on battery life. We removed the endcaps on the speakers and the sound bar and attached the end speakers the soundbar to charge. The remote that came with this system felt nice in the hand. It has some weight to it which gives me confidence that it will last for quite a while.

From the Perspective of an Audiophile
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Keep in mind that there is no soundbar that will replace an AVR and separate (good) speakers when it comes to sound quality, depth, immersion, and so on. Sure, soundbars offer nice bass and clarity with near-zero hassle, wires, and effort, but it's truly worth investing in your system over time! Check out the first option under "Electronics" on JBL's site; it's an AVR and speaker + subwoofer bundle for the same price as the Bar 1000 mkII! Treat yourself to a fuller, more detailed sound with dynamics, true soundstage, imaging, and layering. Of course, soundbars aren't all bad. They are easily a major upgrade to the average built-in TV speakers, offering, as mentioned previously, increased clarity and fantastic bass. I'm a fan of the included 10" subwoofer, which hits low and has great texture and detail. High remarks, I would say, coming from someone whose main subwoofer is a hi-fi 3ft³ servo-controlled dual-opposed 12", which cost more on its own than this 4-figure system! I prefer the sub as close to the bar as possible, at Level 2 out of 5, with a -3 applied to EQ at 125Hz and below; at higher volumes, I'll EQ it down by 7. Though I tend to come back to the app often to change the sub level and EQ for music, song to song. Without the sub, the soundbar doesn't have much of a leg to stand on, so make sure it's connected! I noticed that when playing content from a pause, the soundbar will take a moment to come back to playing sound. While only about a second, it can be slightly frustrating to those who hate to miss even the slightest bit of dialogue. I've enjoyed playing with the different features, such as Night Listening. I'm not one to watch TV or movies too late (I'm one of the first in the household to head to bed). However, I definitely appreciate this functionality: the surround modules play the sound from the TV while the main bar and sub shut off. I find it best when sitting with the surround speakers in my lap or next to me (as silly as that sounds). Similarly, Broadcast lets you put the module speaker/s in your pocket (of your cargo shorts, these things aren't tiny; one surround speaker is about the length of one JBL Charge, the width of 1.3 of them, but only half the depth) and walk across the house. As a music lover, something I appreciate very much is the inclusion of not only Chromecast, but DLNA and UPnP!! Thank you JBL and Roon! In case you're unfamiliar, it allows more direct streaming, with much less compression than Airplay or Chromecast, with greater potential data transfer than even optical S/PDIF. This soundbar gets quite loud with the powerful amplifiers included, though do note it gets pretty harsh in the upper midrange when turned up a bit. Room-filling up to a medium-large room, it performs well. I recommend this if you're limited on space and funds, unable to accommodate JBL's receiver and bookshelf or floorstanding speakers--all the better with a killer subwoofer. Soundbars are better than ever, but "the stereo" is not dead!

With the subwoofer and removable side speakers positioned for surround sound, it sounds full, clean, and immersive. Connectivity options are also awesome. The app makes setup and calibration a breeze. It is Apple AirPlay compatible, so I can cast my audio to the sound bar. It couldn’t be any easier. I absolutely love it!

A big upgrade - kudos!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got the JBL Bar 1000 MK2 set up and wow — this thing delivers. The wireless rear speakers really make the surround sound pop, and setup was surprisingly quick (which I always appreciate). The bass is deep but not muddy, and voices come through super clear, even in chaotic scenes. Streaming over AirPlay and Spotify was seamless, no fuss. They even included little end caps for the soundbar when the rear speakers are detached — a nice touch to keep the setup looking clean. Only callout — the rear speakers need recharging every now and then, but honestly, totally worth it for the kind of experience it brings.

SERIOUS upgrade, finally a home theater sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow. My TV sound system just got a serious upgrade. Excellent sound and it was very easy to set up. The removable surround sound speakers are a game changer! I’ve never given into surround sound before because it always seemed too complicated, but these are so easy. Not to mention beautiful, it’s so nice to have well-designed speakers that are aesthetically pleasing. The bass is perfect too, not overpowering, just right. I am SO happy with this speaker system. Also the slick remote is a cherry on top. Easy to understand and feels good.

Sleek with great sound quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this a week ago and am amazed at the quality of sound and range. Make no mistake, this product is well built. It’s easy to see the quality in manufacturing and once hooked up, the sound quality. The sound bar comes with two detachable surround speakers that can be charged by connecting them to the ends of the sound bar or via USB-C cables. If the detachable surround speakers need to be charged, the sound bar will flash a message reminding you to charge it. With the speakers attached, the sound bar is a whopping 4 feet long which is likely wider than your TV stand, if you’re using one. When handling the surround speakers it’s easy to tell they are not cheaply made. They feel solid and have some weight to them. JBL also added attachments for the surround speakers as well as the sound bar to give it a nice sleek look and hides the connectors (see photos). Really clever design. The one negative is that they hold a charge for maybe 10-12 days before needing to be recharged. One thing I really like about this over the sound bar it replaced, is the many levels of audio adjustments. The old sound bar had a volume that went from too low to too loud at one level up. This one fills that sweet spot. The remote allows you to adjust multiple setting for the subwoofer, mid range and levels to your liking. It’s easy to connect Bluetooth. Also, on the remote there is a Heart ❤️ symbol. This will change to an outdoors sound with wind, trees, leaves and a stream. Really cool if you just want some relaxing ambient sound. You can choose Forest, Rain, Ocean, Citywalk OR make your own playlist in the JBL One app! I highly recommend that you use the JBL One app with this. It gives you a lot of control over the audio and is loaded with features. One of Broadcasting, which allows you to take the removable speakers into another room and listen to what’s playing on the soundbar. It does come with a 60 day trial of Roon which I am not using. It requires you to set up your own server? to use and that just seems like waaay too much effort. In closing I’d say that for someone who has the budget to spend on a higher quality sound bar, the JBL Bar 1000MK2 is a fantastic product and you won’t be disappointed.

Impressive, Immersive, and Totally Worth It
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the JBL BAR 1000MK2 for a few weeks now, and it’s honestly blown me away. The sound is powerful, rich, and incredibly immersive—especially with Dolby Atmos and the detachable wireless surround speakers. You just pull them off the bar, place them behind you, and you’ve got a true surround sound setup. No wires, no hassle. Battery life on the rear speakers is solid (around 8–10 hours for me), and they charge back up just by docking them. Movies, games, and music all sound amazing. The 10” subwoofer packs serious punch, and dialogue is crystal clear thanks to the PureVoice feature. I also love the MultiBeam tech—it really fills the room, even if you’re off to the side. Setup was super easy using the JBL ONE app, and the HDMI passthrough supports Dolby Vision, which is a nice bonus for my 4K setup. Plus, having Bluetooth and Wi-Fi means I can stream music whenever I want. Overall, this system delivers premium home theater sound without the complexity. It’s got great features and sound quality, and it’s absolutely worth it.
