Joico Moisture Recovery Shampoo, 33.8 oz

I can't believe it's taken me 34 years to find this shampoo!! I've tried thousands of shampoos and honestly chalked up the dryness and loss of hair to my scalp all this time. I've tried a zillion major brands and cannot believe I've never tried Joico. I was in disbelief how smooth my hair felt after shampooing without using conditioner. I was convinced I didn't shampoo correctly so I washed my hair the next day and BAM same results. (I'm a wash my hair 3 times a week kinda gal.) I love my long hair, but if I'm being honest, I absolutely dreaded my hair wash days. I mean it was such a chore brushing through my hair after with all the coarseness and tangles still. But now after using this shampoo and conditioner, it doesn't bother me anymore! My hair is so soft, smooth, way less dandruff. It doesn't take a lot of effort to brush through my hair anymore. It's silly to say, but this shampoo and conditioner really changed my quality of life lol. I went from dreading hair wash days to loving it. I'm a HUGE fan!!

No stars for the new formula. I used the old formulation for 5 years; the old version always left my hair soft, smooth, and shiny. The new formula dries my hair out and roughs up my cuticles, which causes breakage....it's awful and just a slap in the face to loyal users of Joico.

This is the best shampo I ever used. I have been using it for 4 years straight. It completely controls my excema which is incredible! My hair is colored and this product keeps the color too. I highly recommend it!

I used the old formula (in the solid blue bottles) for 10 years. My stylist used this new product on my hair and I was SO disappointed. How can I buy the original again?

Please go back to the original formula. I’ve used the old formula for over 20 years. The new one is terrible.

This review is for the Moisture Recovery in the Blue bottle. I love it so much. It smells wonderful and makes my perm so soft and curly, takes the frizz away. I am having a hard time finding any product. Now I guess it's because you changed to a new formula. How very sad!!! Why ???

Please go back to the old formula for moisture recovery. There was no need to change it everyone loved it now everyone hates it.

I was so sad to see the old Moisture Recovery Shampoo (in blue bottle) & wrote about my disappointment! But then I did a little research and found out that Hydra Splash shampoo by Joico is the replacement for my type of hair. I have thin, fine dry hair so the “Hydro splash” works for me ? There another one for those with thick/corse dry hair! I used Hydra Splash shampoo today & it worked perfect on my hair....nice & silky! Yay!

I am so sad & very disappointed that you changed your wonderful Mositure Recovery Shampoo!!! It worked so beautifully on my long fine hair....but now it’s changed to be used on Thick/Corse hair...WHY? There are millions of thick hair shampoos out there.....& nothing for us fine haired girls that worked like your old formula! Why, why, why!

Frustrating! The only shampoo and conditioner that I absolutely loved for the first time ever and the formula got changed! I’m so upset and now cannot find anything close to the old one.

Hair is falling out and have a major sensitivity to chemicals now... I can almost use nothing on my scalp without getting a negative reaction.

I’ve used this product moisture shampoo and conditioner for probably 10 years and now all of a sudden it makes my hair feel greasy. I’m so sad! My hair is long and fine and highlighted and no product ever made it feel so soft now it’s just a greasy mess. Did you change your formula?

Is it still pH balanced? The pH isn't on the new packaging. The old bottles list the pH/MWS. The new ones just have SmartRelease on them. I want to know if the product has changed. I love the Moisture Recovery and other JOICO products ,and hopefully will get the same great results.

I love this product. I’ve dyed my hair a lot over the last couple years so it very dry and frizzy. My hair dresser suggested this to me and I will never stop using this. Added so much moisture to my hair. LOVE IT!!

Wow!!!! I've been spending a lot of money on Pureology trying to fix my very dry, over processed hair with no real results. After trying Joico's moisture recovery shampoo and conditioner, my hair looks beautiful again , and feels super soft!

My hair normally gets very dry because I work in the sun most days for long periods. I've tried so many different shampoos and conditions everything from salon to organic and just recently started using Joico... ITS AMAZING!!!

I have purchased several Joico products and was always satisfied, until I used the Moisture Recovery Shampoo. I used it for a while (less than half bottle) when I began to notice that i was loosing a lot of hair I mentioned it to my husband who did not used this shampoo. About a week later my husband ran out of his shampoo and began to used my joico shampoo. After using it for a few days he tells me I began using your shampoo and I am experiencing hair loss (a problem he had never had before) its the shampoo that's making your hair fall. I stopped using for about 4 months and I have to say my fair has stopped falling. About a week ago I saw this shampoo just sitting there and wondered could it really be the shampoo that was responsible for my hair lost? I decided to give it another try and used it again. Two weeks later my scalp has began to to get really itchy and yes a lot of my hair is falling again. I know have no doubt that the shampoo is responsible for this. I'm trowing the remaining product away very unsatisfied with this product.

At first this shampoo & conditioner was great, my thick, wavy hair felt so soft and smelled great. After a couple of months however, my scalp became flaky and incredibly itchy. I've never had it so bad in my entire life. I seemed to have developed a major sensitivity to chemicals as I can only now use natural products. Sucks because my hair doesn't feel as nice.

I love this shampoo and conditioner it smells amazing! And it made my hair so much softer:) I have really thick, dry, damaged hair and its usually really tangled after I shower, but after using this it made my hair less tangly and soft:) I also love the the recovery moisture deep conditioner too:)
