Joovy Nook Compact Fold Swing Open Tray High Chair

Difficult to clean! There are so many grooves for my toddler to work food into. I don't have time to take apart the entire tray unit to get around the buttons. The tray insert is advertised as dishwasher safe but it's too big to fit in my dishwasher. Wish I'd got something more streamlined

Prior to just recently, we have loved this high chair. Since it folds down I have been able to take it with us on family trips, even with 3 kids 2 adults and all our belongings fit around it. I had been planning to use it for a long time to come, but my 30 lbs toddler snapped one of the joints recently so maybe it wasnt so sturdy after all. The tray is great though, and the leatherette seat still looks decent even though it has started to wear.

I bought my first Joovy Nook high chair in 2019 and it served my family faithfully for 5 years. It endured a household move, vacation trips, and 4 growing children before wear and tear caught up to it. It has been so reliable and faithful that it almost felt like a part of our family, especially considering how many memories we made included it. We loved it so much that we bought a second to continue our legacy: chasing children and Jesus. Our favorite features include the removable tray cover for quick and easy clean up, the swivel tray for quickly bringing food to those hungry babies, and the simple folding mechanism. I cannot recommend this chair enough and I am so thankful to Joovy for being a part of our family at mealtimes!

This is my most hated piece of baby gear and I cannot wait until our 3rd baby is done with it & we can get rid of it. Besides being insanely difficult to clean (did they even try putting a kid in this to test all the spots they can jam food into?!), the leather seats quickly start to peel after being cleaned 3x a day. The seat is at a recline that cannot be adjusted so we always have to prop our baby up with towels so she’s sitting straight. One of the main features I wanted in a high chair is the ability fold it up since we have a small space. The folding mechanism is glitchy and once it is folded, it’s a big time tip hazard, so if anyone grazes it, the whole thing tips over and smashes toes. I would feel bad even giving this away for free; it’s going straight to the landfill.

Very safe and easy to clean. I have used this model for two grandchildren - first as a feeding chair, then for an "art chair", using play dough, water paints, legos. etc. There were times (the Slime experiment, especially) when I had to hard clean it from top to bottom. It is still in perfect shape (5 years old). Money well spent.

I purchased the Joovy high chair and walker and my baby and I lived both! The cushions provide a nice soft area for your child to sit - that is also wipeable! We had a small issue with the high chair - it snapped in one spot due to some back and forth bouncing from my son. I reached out to customer service and Tony was absolutely fantastic! I sent in photos and described what happened and it was as simple as that! I will highly recommend this company to all my friends because this could happen to any high chair - but the customer service makes this company stand out above the rest! Thank you!!!

We’ve had this chair for over two years. We used it for my first and now second child. It folds nicely and has a harness that can be used as 3 or 5 point. Tray comes off completely which helps with cleaning. This thing still looks brand new after daily use. I’ve had two other fancier looking chairs first and they were terrible. I can’t recommend this enough. Only possible negative is that it doesn’t look fancy but it’s amazing chair for the price.

Not sure what happened, But we’ve had this high chair less than a year and the back doesn’t stay up anymore. There were two clean breaks randomly. This should not have broke like this

We loved it prior to today when the base of both legs broke and my daughter fell straight back. Concerned parent and Wondering now if anyone else has had experienced malfunction

There are three fantastic things about this highchair. 1) It folds up so easy. This was the selling point for me. We fold it down and set it up multiple times a day. 2) The tray one one side. Must require two hands to remove/replace the tray on either side. This one can be open and closed with one hand and you don't have your hands full with the tray when trying to clean up/take out baby. The removable top piece of the tray can be easily removed and is dishwasher safe. 3) The leather-like cushion is so easy to wipe down. I didn't like other high chairs that came with cloth padding that doesn't look like it would be very clean unless put in the washing machine. There is one downfall to this highchair: the footrest is not adjustable and my almost-2 year-old is no wear near reaching it. From what I have read, it is recommended that children be able to have a surface to rest their feet on/against when eating because they will stay in their seat longer as it is more comfortable than having their feet dangling. I have looked into getting a footrest to add-on that can be adjusted but the angle of the footrest is also too far underneath the chair for this to work. It would be ideal if the foot rest that came with the highchair could swing forward 45-ish degrees and be adjusted up/down. But, overall I am satisfied with this highchair.

I just bought this to have at my house for my grandson. I had recently purchased a different high hair that I had to return because the tray was impossible to put on and take off. This is wonderful and I can release it with one hand! It is a sturdy high chair and the removable cover on the tray is awesome for clean-up. My grandson is 6 months and sits up well in this chair.

I have 5 children. I have always hated high chairs— everything about them is annoying. The Joovy Nook has completely taken away my irrational hate of the high chair stage. I (almost) want to another baby just so I can use this high chair forever. It’s easy to clean. It’s super light weight and compact. It has wheels on the back bar. The BEST part is the ONE-HANDED tray swivel. GENIUS! I highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Pleased to report the chair holds up at our fast-paced childcare center. Also incredibly impressed with the customer service team!

Pros: looks good, sturdy, swing open tray, detachable tray makes tray clean up easy, folds for easy transport. Cons: Nightmare to do a deep clean on, leatherette does not hold up. Would have hoped this high chair would hold up for #2 but after being in storage for year + and needing to do a more thorough clean the exterior began ripping. Unfortunately, the seat cover has been on long term backorder.

I was liking the chair for its ability to fold and for the swing tray until we noticed the frame totally cracked. I was hoping to use this chair for 2 kids but it didn't even make it through 1!

Wonderful product and excellent customer service. So much better than clunkier high chairs, it looks sleek and modern in my breakfast nook.

Love this chair! It is easy to collapse, move around and store! Comfy cushion, my son loves the chair. Also, very friendly customer service team and offers great support! 10/10 recommend

I love the concept of how easy it is to fold and the slide out tray. Unfortunately, my baby cannot sit straight in this high-chair. He slouches down no matter how many times we try to adjust him. There's not much you can do to the chair adjustment. Very dissapointed!

Bought this used and it's super great! Until I went to wash the seat cover. I washed it on the gentlest cycle and it came out with the leather either having bubbles in it or it had ripped open and little black pieces get everywhere. I'd say it's good, but you can't actually wash it which makes things difficult.

I loved how modern and easy it is to tuck away in the closet but that's about it. This thing has so many cracks and places that are impossible to clean. Was going to try to use it again with my next baby but I'd rather spend the money and buy something different.
