Description
Totem is an award-winning design that combines all your waste and recycling in one compact unit. It features two compartments arranged vertically, which saves space and makes them very easy to fill and empty. Each compartment has a removable bucket that can be fitted with a single standard liner for general waste or two smaller bags, using the integrated bag hooks, for separating different types of recycling. Breather vents in the bucket sides make removing a full liner easier. Totem also features a ventilated odor filter in the main lid that helps reduce moisture and odor build up from waste. The design comes with a 3-litre (0.8 US Gallon) removable food waste caddy that can be stored in either compartment, or on the worktop. Stylish, practical and durable, Totem is available in two sizes – Totem Max (60 litres/15.8 US Gallons) and Totem Compact (40 litres/10.5 US Gallons). Custom-fit liners for the main compartments and compostable liners for the food waste caddy are available separately, as are replaceable odor filters. Stainless-steel versions feature a fingerprint-proof coating, whilst other models feature an easy-clean powder-coated steel finish. Choose the right custom-fit liner: IW2 and IW7.

Worth the money
This is by far the best JJ product and worth the money as comes with a guarantee too , whi I did have to claim on my last one but was replaced without quibble. Although I didn’t like there was no number to contact everything was via email. .

The statement bin
I recently bought this in the sale an upgrade from a 4ltr countertop bin. The rubbish bin is adequate and the odour filter is amazingly good I’ve had onion skins in the bin with no detectable smell in the house. Perfect sized bin for a couple or small family.

Original was better
This is my third totem, The new style totem isn’t as nice as the original totem design. The square footprint doesn’t fit into the spaces available in a kitchen as well as the original totem which had a rectangular foot print. Just feels a less quality unit considering

Really pleased with this item. Great design that has been thought through and functions well. The lower bin slides out and in smoothly. The inner bins are easy to handle and line. The lid action is quiet! Who’d have thought a bin could have so much character. 😄

Excellent purchase
I hesitated on buying this as it is rather an expensive purchase for a bin, but I am extremely pleased with it. I had small bins under my sink previously which filled up far too quickly but now I have this one it is so great to have space for both rubbish and recycling. I have been able to slot it under the end of the breakfast bar, and in the stone colour it totally unobtrusive.

Expensive but worth the money. Looks great in our apartment and is very well designed and practical. The bags aren’t cheap and I haven’t found a good cheaper alternative yet, but they are good quality.

Great Bin.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new bin. I have a small kitchen and had 3 bins. Whereas now, I have saved some floor space, by using this Joseph Joseph Totem bin. This bin of 40L is adequate for my needs as I don't have a lot of rubbish. Ideal for regular rubbish, then recycled, and i have put the little food bin in the bottom bin. My glass doesn't get recycled by collection, so I am using a separate bin for that. Keeps everything neat. Thank You. Some people may prefer the next size up bin ie. such as a family/couple etc.
