A: A 13 gallon bag with a drawstring can work. It will not be as pristine a fit as the official bag. You may wish to tighten the drawstring around the top of the inner section edges.

I absolutely love it! Consolidating trash and recycle into one container makes so much sense. Plenty of room for a one-person household for a week and perhaps two weeks in each side. Very happy. Also like the bag storage pocket on the trash side. Again makes sense.

Great grown up investment
As a 40 yo woman, I never thought I would write a review for a trash can, but here we are. My husband constantly complained about me and our daughter not taking our stuff to the bin in a timely fashion. Well, now everyone is happy! Our recyclables are taken care of and we only have to dump it once or twice a week! Problem solved!!

Great purchase
Should’ve bought this trash can first. I went with a cheaper option and it broke after a year and half. This is quality. It’s what I should’ve gotten in the first place. Totally worth it. Solid construction, slow close lid, easy to change the bag with the bag dispenser attachment.

Beautiful & functional
Love this trashcan and its functionality. Love that you can lift the top and have it stay open, and having trash and recycling together is very convenient. But… ours arrive with a small dent on the side and lightly scratched area on the top. I couldn’t be bothered to deal with the return process so it’s fine, whatever. The thing that I really don’t like (and why I took a star off) is that it feels a bit unstable and the step goes all across the front, but if you step anywhere except the middle, the whole trashcan moves and shifts.

Nowhere near as good as my previous Simple Human bin
We are disappointed with this bin. Our previous bin was a Simple Human and we loved it. . . for 14 years! But eventually our old bin gave up and we ordered this one. It looks incredible and does have a few features we like, like the holder for the spare bin bags. But the body of this one is made of metal and we'd managed to dent it within two weeks of it arriving :( It's too expensive for us to replace it, so we now have to live with a fancy-looking bin that is damaged. The twin interior bins is what we wanted, but the plastic bucket has a handle that falls in the way when you try to empty it and the plasic top surrounds that seperate each bin catch all the little crumbs and drips that don't get perfectly aligned with the tiny hole at the top. THe foot padel is no where near as sturdy or well designed as our previous Simple Human, it feels quite delicated. This bin will not last us more than year, which is why we're disappointed. The unwanted dent will now cause rusting. This is nowhere near as good as we've come to expect from Simple Human. This is a far reach away from simple. 1/10 - you really must try harder and get back to basics.
