I had more a more difficult time registering the vacuum than I did using it. Amazing how powerful it is. It literally pulls across the rug! Glad I purchased additional bag as I think the one that came with the unit will be filled soon.

After growing up with Kenmore Canister Vacuums, I drifted away into a world of cordless vacuum cleaners, that couldn’t hold a charge long enough to do my house in one try. In looking for a new one, I found out that I could actually get a Kenmore canister at Home Depot. Ordered it, got it in 4 days, set it up…. and took it out for a test run. It’s awesome. Just like I remembered.

Meets expectations vacuum, but over—priced. Canister vacs are a bit annoying, but so is vacuuming so it makes sense. I went canister because the sticks seem atrocious and the upright market is rife with garbage, so here we are…Main head is a bit tall and limits ability to get under bottom cabinets, depending on height of yours. Light on main head also only illuminates when brush is spinning, which is annoying as it then won’t light up when doing hard floors. Hose can’t directly connect to main head (say, for doing stairs), so I use the pet roller thing. Works fine. Quality is average. So are all vacuums. Really a stupid world of over-priced products for a technology that is simple and unchanged for decades. FML.

I have owned 3 Kenmore Canister Vacuums over the past 30 years. They have always worked well. Very efficient in vacuuming any surface, with great suction power, and an excellent powerful beater brush. The power cord retractable function has never failed. What eventually wears out is the motor (they do have a limited lifetime, as with any vacuum). I definitely recommend the Kenmore BC4030
