Have only owned this vacuum for less than four months and it stopped working. Motor won’t turn on, heard a pop sound then immediately shut down. Now I have a vacuum I can’t use that cost a fortune

What were the designers thinking on this one?
The performance is good however, unlike my old shark, the switch is near the middle so you have bend over constantly to switch from hard surfaces to carpet. There is also no light on the “detached wand” like my old shark. So it’s constant bending over to switch from different surfaces and struggling to see the dirt when I use the detached wand. The dust canister opening switch is also “backward” making it awkward when dumping the dirt.

Do not buy
This vacuum lasted just over 3 years. After one year the vacuum head stopped working and we had to use the warranty for a replacement. The replacement quit after 2 more years. Dirt and pet hair becomes clogged in areas that are not possible to reach without taking the vacuum head apart, and if you do that Shark will tell you the warranty is void.

I bought this vacuum Mid December 2025 and today March 27th 2026 it stopped mid vacuuming. The lights are all on but it won’t vacuum. I had a shark previously to purchasing this one that lasted years I’m sad that this one didn’t work out

Over heats quickly and Poor Suction
I’m very disappointed with this vacuum. From the very first use, it got noticeably hot, and after using it about five times, it seems to be getting even hotter each time. The fan area feels especially warm, which is concerning. I also noticed that a piece is missing on the right side of the bottom, which makes me question the quality and durability of the product. On top of that, the suction is not very strong and doesn’t perform as expected. Overall, this vacuum does not meet my expectations in terms of performance or build quality. I will be returning it.

A lot of negatives
Positive: easy to use. Self propelled, glides/moves well during use. Able to collect small dust particles. Affordable. Negatives: Odor neutralizer only lasted a few uses. The cord is short, so to do one room you need to plug it in different locations. If you have a dog that sheds, the soft roller gets clogged with hair quickly and it needs to be clean often (a pain to do). The suction is not as good as my older shark vacuum model. But it does the job. The lights are set wrong. The illumination is high so you don’t really see the dust or area in front of rollers that needs vacuuming. The dust collector/canister is not easy to clean. Very fine dust and dog hair gets stuck in the center and all around and it’s really hard to clean. Don’t recommend getting this model.

Stopped picking up 1st time using.
After a couple hours of research I chose the vacuum cleaner. I had a feeling I should make a different choice because I have.2 sharks ar home. The amount of work to maintain the one at home. The roller with hair always getting wrapped around it, 2 different filters to clean and replace, emptying the canister and dog hair getting stuck in the hose. My old vacuum as a kid we attached a paper bag and threw it away when full, so easy. Mine stopped working so my mom lent me hers and after a week it stopped picking up. Now to my brand new one! My very first time using it halfway through the house it stopped picking up lent. That's it, an issue on day 1. Im returning it. I do have 2 Huskies that shed a lot and live in a dusty desert, so want a tough vacuum cleaner with good suction and easy to use. I certainly want one to last much longer than a day. I also bought these protection package for $33. Target won't refund that so quite a donation.

Shark Rotator Pet Lift-away ADV upright vacuum
So I bought this a little over a month ago-ish and so far I love it!! I have 2 toddlers and a golden so I needed something that was strong and easy to use! This does the job for sure. The suction power is strong and cleans up every mess. I was shocked on how much it got up the first time I used it and what my previous vacuum was leaving behind. I like that it has two options for carpets and hardwood/title floors. Negatives for me are that it isn’t cordless bc my previous was cordless so I was used to that & it is a bit on the heavier side (what a normal full size vacuum would be) but I’ll take it with how well it works! If you are looking for a good vacuum and trying to figure out which one to pick, this is a great option!
