Q: can you remove/replace brush roller?

A: The brush roller is removable. There is a red button on the side you can slide and then remove the roller at the same time which will allow you to clean out any hair stuck behind the roller.

A: No, you don’t have to use the deodorizing tablets. To operate the vacuum without scent, simply remove the odor cartridge from the dial and reinstall the dial cover into the nozzle. The vacuum will function properly without the cartridge.

Shark Stratos
This vacuum is amazing. It is like the Cadillac of vacuums. It does take a little time to understand all the pieces you can detach from the main unit to use. But each piece you can detach has so many unique features. The main unit you detach is actually very light and helps to vacuum underneath furniture. The suction of this cleaner is unlike any I have had in the past. By far this is the best and was able to purchase at 47% off. Very happy with this item. It had also received great reviews which helped me decide to purchase this model.

Fantastic Vacuum
The new Shark Stratos is a big improvement over the 14 year old vacuum it replaced. It is significantly more powerful, holds more so I don’t have to empty it as often, the DuoClean PowerFiins really clean deep into carpets/rugs and the odor neutralizer keeps it smelling fresh. Does a fantastic job on tile floors, rugs and carpets.

We’ve only had this vacuum for 3 weeks but so far it has been great. Pros:’ - quieter than our old Oreck - bagless - extremely versatile - great suction and threads/hairs do not get stuck in the roller! Cons: - worry about long term wear since it’s virtually all plastic - heavy to push, although if you hold the canister unit in one hand and vacuum with the other it’s a breeze

Great vacuum if you can really appreciate a great vacuum session! The extra 5’ of cord length is amazing if you have a large, open space. Suction is incredible. I had a lower end Shark and with the first vacuum with this machine, I filled the canister because it cleaned so much more efficiently on rugs. Absolutely love it! The pet attachment is perfect, too, if you have pets to clean pet hair off of furniture!

Great for long hair!
I have very long hair and shed a lot! It was really easy to find reviews that mentioned dog hair but I never saw any regarding human hair so my hopes weren’t too high, but it does well! After vacuuming for a couple weeks I did have to finally cut a little bit of hair wrapped around the roller, but the majority of the hair did NOT get wrapped up. I used to have to squeegee my floor before vacuuming, and thankfully that’s no longer needed!

Best corded vacuum I've owned.
Awesome vacuum! Super suction, huge bin, good attachments plus the attachments I have from the previous version of this vacuum all fit. Love the lift away function and how you can vacuum way under bed etc with the canister removed. And I got it at a great price. Tried the top Shark cordless and was disappointed, will never compare to corded vacuums.

Smells of Plastic
This vacuum was a replacement for one that was destroyed by running over a metal rod while vacuuming under a bed. The main brush - roller was destroyed. The main brush - roller could not be replaced so they sent me a new vacuum. Luckily it was covered under the 5 year VIP warranty. The replacement vacuum has a terrible odor of plastic when running. Not pleasant to operate.

Works great at first
I bought this vacuum 9 months ago. We have a golden retriever, a Labrador retriever and my wife has long hair. It worked great for about 4 months when the performance began to decline quite a bit. I disassembled the powerhead and cleaned out the trapped dirt and hair. The performance improved for a few months and is now suffering again. The powerhead is again full of trapped dirt and hair and the Hair Pro brushroll is worn out. This machine and powerhead are far from self-cleaning, require too much maintenance to keep the performance up, and the Hair Pro brushroll wears out way too quickly. The only replacement is a new powerhead assembly-not cheap-that will last only 8 to 9 months under normal use.

Look at other options - wheels brake and cant replace
Would NOT buy again. Purchased this vacuum on 10/24/2024 and today 11/15/2025 the wheels are shot. The wheels have broken and tilt inward, and not something you can buy parts for and fix. Hard to push on hard floors, but extremely difficult on carpet. Very disappointed in this product. I’ve always liked shark products but this bites. Spent $349 and it should have lasted much longer than a 13 months. Suction is great, overall if the product had better wheels or even a way to replace them, it would be worth the value. We have a 3k square foot home. Mostly hard wood/tile with bedrooms carpet. 2 inside dogs, both heavy shedders (Australian shepherds) and we vacuum the entire house 3-4 times a week, so it gets used a lot.

Sucky Vacuum
Look this vacuum seriously sucks. I've never had a vacuum that sucked as much as this one does. Honestly this things gonna suck until the day it dies and based on how well it's made that means it's probably gonna suck a long long time. So if y'all wanna spend your money on a vacuum that really sucks this is the one I'd recommend.

Bought this vacuum on 12/7/24. It is 11/7/2025. I was vacuuming an area rug and the vacuum just stopped working. I thought it worked great for the 11 months I used it but it's obviously not built to last so very overpriced.
