submitted byAJ Spellmon - 1 year agoA: The brush roller is removable. There is a red button on the side you can slide and then remove the roller at the same time which will allow you to clean out any hair stuck behind the roller.

A: It’s not self propelled but as strong as the suction is I swear it pulls itself across the floor.

A: No, you don’t have to use the deodorizing tablets. To operate the vacuum without scent, simply remove the odor cartridge from the dial and reinstall the dial cover into the nozzle. The vacuum will function properly without the cartridge.

A: To clean this part, you have to place the nozzle on a flat surface with the bottom facing up. Using scissors, carefully remove any string, hair, or debris that may be wrapped around the brushroll. Finally, reattach the wand to the nozzle. Then slide the pod back onto the wand until it firmly clicks into place.

This is my second Stratos model in six months, the first one simply stopped working. And I only vacuumed once a week maybe. I want to believe in Shark and their product so I re-purchased. One pro I can definitely say is the suction is very strong.

I bought this vacuum in May of 2024 and it no longer powers on. In the brief time that it did work cleaning performance was sub-par and it was constantly clogging up with dog hair. I you purchase this vacuum, or any other Shark brand vacuum you will regret that you wasted your money on their garbage products.

I’ve been using this for a few weeks so far and it’s working well. The air freshener really help with the dog smell my old vacuum would get pretty quickly after a deep clean. I bought my last shark upright vacuum in 2018 and it was time to be replaced because the brush no longer turned. This one has good suction but not as good compared to my last vacuum. I’ve also noticed the cord is much shorter and I have to move the plug multiple times to get the whole house which is frustrating.

I was tentative when I bought this. Some reviewers love it, some reviews are not so great. Thought I would give it a shot and I am VERY glad I did! The suction on this is absolutely insane. I rolled this over our hardwood floors and it sucked up all of the cat fur from between the boards (did not know that was there) and left the floor shining like new. Used the handle to suction out some coffee grinds from my espresso maker. It took 1 second for all of the grounds to be sucked up and I had to use all of my strength to pull the hose from the bottom. We get brand new carpet next week and I am LOOKING FORWARD to using my vacuum to suck up all of the brand new carpet fibers that aren't attached (they also are a major allergen). I'll admit, turning the vacuum is not great. Not sure how to fix it but I will find a way as I am absolutely obsessed with this vacuum and am looking forward to vacuuming everything. Maybe they just need a tire extension of the two little tires. If they make one, I will be the first to buy and upgrade this vacuum.

I really loved this vacuum when I first bought it about a year ago. The suction was excellent, the components felt solid, and the little headlight was a surprisingly useful touch. I used it almost daily for regular cleaning and followed all the manufacturer’s care instructions—changing filters, keeping it clean, the whole nine yards. But about two months ago, I noticed one of the rear wheels was sitting crooked. It got worse with each use, and soon the other wheel followed suit. I tried troubleshooting, hoping there was a way to tighten or adjust them, but no luck. After inspecting more closely with a flashlight, I discovered the real issue: the plastic pieces that hold the wheel bolts to the vacuum head were chipped and worn down. With that structural support gone, the wheels now buckle inward and wobble so badly that steering the vacuum is nearly impossible. This is incredibly frustrating, especially given the price point. A vacuum should be able to support its own weight and hold up to regular use. I never misused it or treated it roughly, so this kind of breakdown feels like a design flaw. I was genuinely happy with it at first, but now I can’t use it properly—and pushing it across the floor has become a workout. Sadly, I wouldn’t purchase this model again. It’s just not built for long-term durability.

Hi my name is Steven my family has got the Shark Stratos Powered Lift-Away Duo Clean Power Fins Hair Pro Vacuum for awhile now using it and I just wanted to wright a review of it and say that there is two dogs in our home that we love but there hair sheds a bit the vacuum works great but after a while it does collect alot of the hair in the container but also I have noticed that alot of the hair is getting stuck under the front microfiber brush that I have to take the front brush off to get the hair out from under the brush but other wise this is a great vacuum. If you see this review please email me of anything I can do with this vacuum to reduce the hair under the front brush.

This hoover is incredible! The suction power picks up every last crumb with the help of the front lights and the 3 settings makes using it all around the house a simple task. The only hoover which has claimed to be anti hair wrap which actually is we've had it a couple of months and it's still working brilliantly. It is quite a noisy hoover but that's no problem at all for us.

This is the best vacuum I have owned so far. I've had a cordless stick vacuum for years and decided to go back to a corded vacuum and I couldn't believe the amount of dust and pet hair that came out of my rugs. Never going back to a cordless again.

First, the pro, and it overrides any and all of the negatives I'll mention: This cleaner has amazing suction. I almost wondered if I was going to end up sucking up the carpet, the floor, and the universe into a tiny ball! Okay, so my imagination ran wild there. It cleaned all the crud off of my carpets. All of it. I have long hair, and I have cats. My carpets are all short pile, and the rest of the house is vinyl flooring. This vacuum cleaner was easy to assemble. Well, I thought so anyways. I followed the printed instructions. Now to the negatives: It feels heavy when operating. My mother would have whined, then refused to use this. It is not a vacuum cleaner for wimpy people. I didn't like the way the head worked, swiveling as I pushed. It wasn't bad, really--just unexpected. I would have preferred a fixed head. There is probably a way to set this. I'll get out the manual and see.

I dont leave reviews but I have to say that this is the worst vacuum I have ever purchased. I usually love shark products but this vacuum is awful. It makes it where I absolutely dread a chore I used to not mind doing. I hardwood floors and 2 rugs. It is ok on hard surfaces but I have to stop and reset it multiple times when I go over my very low pile rugs because the roller sensor trips 3 or 4 times EVERY TIME, I can only imagine it would have a difficult time cleaning high pile carpets. The cord hook is useless and too big to hold the cord securely so I have to hold the cord out of the way the entire time I'm using it. The bristles on the brush attachment are not turned in the right direction to be able to sweep properly. Just over all a poorly designed vacuum. This was not a cheap vacuum but it sure does perform like one. What happened to sharks being comparable to dysons??
